Agnes actually felt kinda sorry for her, but Beatrice's scheming was just too nasty.
Resorting to drugging people, how extreme she was!
She deserved a lesson.
Who knows what she might pull next?
Agnes had been watching from the sidelines for a while but didn't step in.
This only made Beatrice hate her more.
She was more convinced than ever that it was all Agnes' doing.
Mamie clearly had no intention of letting her off the hook.
As Mamie raised her hand again,
Beatrice gripped Mamie's hand tight, "I quit, okay? Mamie, you wait. I'll make you pay for today's humiliation."
With that, Beatrice shook off Mamie's hand, kicked aside some props, and took off.
Everyone was left with mixed feelings.
But hey, showbiz is always messy, this kind of stuff is all part of the package.
That evening, Jared Whitfield showed up.
He treated the entire cast to dinner.
He booked the largest private room at the Ford Hotel.
The crew couldn't stop complimenting Agnes.
"Agnes, you're one lucky duck."
"Mr. Whitfield really spoils you."
"Agnes, we owe you big time today."
Beatrice sequestered herself in the dressing room.
As Medina was leaving, she said to Beatrice, "Aren't you joining your brother-in-law's dinner?"
Brother-in-law! She hated that title.
Agnes was just nauseating, always making sure everyone knew she was Mrs. Whitfield.
Constantly having Jared treat the crew to dinner, cozying up to them.
All she wanted was to show off her status and bask in their insincere flattery.
To Beatrice, it was all a big show, a power play!
She couldn't stand it any longer!
They seemed reluctant to part.
Jared hugged Agnes for a moment before turning to leave.
But after only a couple steps, he turned back and kissed Agnes deeply.
Not many people were in the lobby, but those who passed by would definitely take a second look.
Lovebirds always draw envious glances.
Seeing this, Beatrice clenched her fists, cursing in her mind, "How shameless!"
It took a while before Jared finally let go of Agnes and left with his luggage.
Agnes watched Jared's figure gradually disappear, standing there for a long time before deciding to leave.
As she turned around, she saw Beatrice standing not far away.
"You two look so sweet, it's sickening. Agnes, how does Jared's kiss feel? Can't get enough of it?"
Beatrice's voice dripped with jealousy and bitterness as she spoke.
Agnes frowned, "Why are you here?"
"Dear sister, I'm here, of course, to see you."
