Heartstrings on Fire novel Chapter 370

The makeup room was pin-drop silent, you could hear a needle drop.

Everyone was busy with their own thing.

But all eyes were on Mamie and Beatrice.

Mamie's arrogance was legendary, so her words didn't surprise anyone.

Beatrice was pissed off, but she knew better than to confront Mamie.

Mamie was the leading lady of the show.

She was the director's favorite, and with her boyfriend Ivan's strong connections, no one dared to cross her.

Especially considering the show was tailor-made for her by Farrell, the CEO of Universal International Entertainment.

Universal International Entertainment was the main investor and producer of the show.

If she got mad, not just the extras, even the lead actor might be replaced.

Though Beatrice had a minor role, she had overcome many hurdles to secure it.

Reluctantly, Beatrice started to pack her stuff.

Just as she finished packing up a pile of cosmetics.

Mamie said, "Go get me a coffee, I want a double mocha."

Beatrice gritted her teeth.

Mamie raised an eyebrow: "Don't you want to?"

"No, I'm thrilled to get coffee for you, Mamie."

Beatrice felt uneasy, yet she maintained a smile.

She pondered if Mamie was intentionally making things hard for her or just being thoughtless.

Mamie had a habit of sending crew members on errands, and everyone raced to do her bidding, hoping to gain her favor. Yet, Mamie truly didn't care.

Beatrice had always viewed those who ran these errands as naive and fawning.

She never imagined she'd be in their shoes.

Just as Beatrice was set to depart, Mamie chimed in, "Anyone else fancy a drink? My treat!" The makeup room buzzed with surprise.

Since when was Mamie so generous? Was it an attempt to seem more relatable?

But since she was paying, they couldn't refuse.

Beatrice asked, "Could you have someone deliver it to my office?"

The waiter politely said, "Sorry, we don't have delivery service."

Beatrice had no choice but to carry the entire box back to the office.

By the time she returned to the makeup room, everyone had started working.

Only Medina, who had no scenes today and was there to watch the drama, was left.

Like Beatrice, Medina had also landed a minor role through connections.

Medina took a cup of coffee from Beatrice, "Beatrice, I have a feeling she's deliberately picking on you. Since when does she drink outside coffee? She usually makes her own coffee."

Beatrice slammed the coffee onto the table angrily, splashing some.

The whole way back, Beatrice was feeling down and out.

It must be Agnes's doing.

Agnes must have told Mamie to bully her.

Absolutely shameless!
