Kearney grinned, "Godfather, are you joking? This island's my domain. Do you really think these people would take your side? Times have changed. Even without the key, I can kill you first and search leisurely. Albert’s Arms? I'm the one in charge now."
But Reggie just chuckled, "You think you're the boss of Albert’s Arms? Maybe you're overestimating yourself. Why don't you take a look out the window? You'll see what's really happening."
A bad feeling suddenly crept into Kearney's heart as he noticed Reggie's calm demeanor.
Kearney's face tensed up.
But he was convinced the island was his territory, doubting Reggie could pull any surprises.
Retracting his gun, Kearney stepped onto the balcony.
To his shock, a crowd was gathered below the villa, armed and aiming in his direction.
Leading them were Elton Taylor and... Jared.
Kearney felt as if a stone had dropped in his heart.
He pressed the gun against Reggie’s head again, "Reggie, what kind of game are you playing here?"
Just then, the door swung open again.
Naylor stood in the doorway.
Seeing Kearney aiming at Reggie, he was in disbelief.
"Brother, have you lost it? How can you point a gun at our godfather? He's the one who raised us," Naylor exclaimed.
Turning to Reggie, Kearney continued, "Godfather, I always knew this day might come. But do you know why I insisted on bringing you to this island? I've planted explosives underground, powerful enough to match a nuke. The detonator's in my hand. If I wish, we all go down together."
Kearney indeed pulled out a detonator.
Naylor, looking at Kearney, thought he had gone mad.
But after that warning shot, Naylor was speechless.
Reggie, however, remained calm, "If you press that button, you know Phoenix will die here too."
At the mention of Phoenix, Kearney's expression visibly changed.
