Heartstrings on Fire novel Chapter 1132

Agnes sat down and took a bite.

Delicious beyond words.

It was simply too good.

Agnes began to devour the noodles voraciously.

Jared chuckled, "Slow down, I can whip up another batch if you're still hungry."

Agnes replied, "There's no better way to enjoy noodles than to eat them heartily."

Looking up, she asked Jared, "Why aren't you having some? I noticed you barely ate anything tonight."

Jared smiled, "I'm not hungry, I just enjoy watching you eat."

Jared found great pleasure in watching Agnes eat.

Truth be told, despite her speedy eating, Agnes had a pleasant way of enjoying her food.

Everything seemed to turn into a delicacy before her, sparking an appetite in anyone watching.

Agnes quickly finished her bowl of noodles and put down her chopsticks, commenting, "Your chicken noodle soup and Reggie's beef noodles are both incredibly delicious."

Mentioning Reggie around Jared was no longer a concern; Jared seemed indifferent.

In fact, Agnes subtly felt that Jared somewhat wished people would bring up Reggie now and then.

Jared asked, "Which one tastes a bit better?"

Agnes laughed, "Of course, my husband's cooking is just a tad superior."

Jared raised an eyebrow, "Flatterer."

Agnes stood up, intending to clear the table.

But Jared quickly took the dishes from her, "Go rest in the room."

Agnes feigned innocence, "Eating your food and making you wash the dishes, how embarrassing for me."

Jared replied, "I'd be more upset if you ended up breaking a couple of my antique pots while washing them."

Agnes didn't leave, sticking to Jared like a little tail.

After several unsuccessful attempts to shake her off, Jared let Agnes cling to him.

Though Jared was a bit slow in his movements.

Agnes was still glued to him.

Without warning, Jared bent down and scooped Agnes into his arms.

Agnes exclaimed, "Jared, what are you doing?"

Jared, carrying Agnes out of the dining area, joked, "Piggyback ride."

Agnes retorted, "More like Zhu Bajie carrying his wife."

Life was simple.

But to Agnes, these moments were exactly what she desired.

Their three kids added laughter and liveliness to their life.

Sprague had been staying with them for a week.

During this time, Agnes had arranged a leave of absence from preschool for him.

Still, Brayden came to pick up Sprague eventually.
