Gorgeous Couple’s Sweet Love novel Chapter 32

Joel looked at us with indifferent eyes, and I saw September staring at them with a faint expression, and asked, "I didn't expect you to remember that you are a Jenkins."

The tone was ironic and self-deprecating.

I opened the door and got out of the car, and greeted. Joel frowned and reminded: "September, watch your tongue!"

September pursed her lips, spread her hands, and left us.

After she left, Joel introduced the woman next to him and said, "Emma, this is Rose Jenkins, your future sister-in-law."

I nodded and Rose smiled gently: "Joe has told me all about you. You do look prettier than he said you are. Wow, that's a nice ride. Did Joe buy it for you?"

Hearing her words, my face turned cold

She thought my things could only belong to Shears family?

Or did she look down on me from the heart?

I bit my lip and looked at her coldly.

Joel also heard the hidden meaning in her words. He frowned and said, "Rose, she is my only sister. You don't have to be like this."

I suddenly understood why September, lost. Joel knew didn't mean well towards me nor September, but he let her.

That was something September never got from Joel.

I looked at Rose coldly and left.

I didn't treat her badly and even greeted her because Joel was my brother.

But I didn't expect she would still have an attitude like that.

Did she think I was soft or something? So that she could bully me all she wanted?

I drove the car back to the Elysia and called Benjamin downstairs. It took ten minutes for him to get down.

Watching Benjamin walking calmly from a distance, his figure in the snowy background was ever more charming.

He opened the car door and sat in, saying, "Get yourself together and drive."

I was stunned and asked: "Where to?"

He told me the address and I drove there.

Benjamin was a smart man, he could see my obsession with him, and over time he would be sure that I liked him!

Yes, for sure!

When I drove the car sadly and stopped in front of a traffic light, Benjamin asked indifferently, "How was work today?"

It seemed that he was in the mood for a little chitchat.

I remembered what Zack said today but chose to hide it, "Pretty good, still the same ol' crowd."

"Same of crowd?" Benjamin slightly lowered his head and asked while he fiddled with the ring on his finger, "How old?"

"The colleagues who interned with me at the police station six years ago, and captain Riley. They all took good care of me."

I was once transferred to Glestin to serve for three months, but I searched the archives today and there was no clue.

There was no record on my transfer.

So I didn't believe what Zack said.

But the moment he stopped me, within a few minutes, it changed my perception. He knew all my little habits.

I'd been a scapegoat, I liked bungee jumping.

I liked to read jokes. I liked spicy food. I didn't like mango and watermelon drinks.

And he knew all of these.

I had to believe that I used to be very close to him.

Close enough to tell him all the little habits.

"Right."

Benjamin gave a perfunctory respond. The traffic light in front changed, and I drove to the destination.

It was a very luxurious clubhouse. I parked the car in front of the door, and the parking boy hurriedly came over and took the key from me. Then Benjamin reached out and hooked my shoulder to lead me in.

I was a little bit obsessed, leaning against his chest. Benjamin took me into the elevator, and he gently leaned against me.

When the elevator opened again, I saw Sean and a group of friends. I'd seen all of them before but didn't remember their names.

The only one I remembered was... Coral Duffy.

Coral dressed very fashionable and wore exquisite makeup. When she saw my face, her face immediately sank, and then whispered: "Penta, why did you bring her here again today?"

This woman named Coral disliked me quite a lot.

Hearing that, Benjamin frowned, and then smiled: "Did you tell me not to bring my plus one? What's more, how am I supposed to leave Mrs. Dunn at home alone?"

There was a sudden chill in my heart. He referred to me as Mrs. Dunn but it made me feel strange.

Because his tone was very indifferent.

And they were not surprised by the words 'Mrs. Dunn', which showed that they knew my identity before.

Even so,

Coral still questioned Benjamin.

I couldn't imagine how much they actually looked down on me in their hearts.

When I thought of this, I felt funny.

His circle, no matter what, was not something I could blend in.

At this moment Sean said, "Let's go in. What are you doing, standing here?"

Benjamin, Sean, Coral and another friend sat around a table, and I was sitting next to Benjamin and playing on my mobile phone.

Benjamin lost 30,000 dollars after playing for a while. He reached out and touched my face, and proposed, "Want to play a few rounds?"

The room was very warm, but Benjamin's palms were cold, and I subconsciously shrank my neck when he touched me.

But he was already calling me a b*tch before he thought I despised him about his plan to get September.

I put my phone in my pocket and smiled: "Sean, I didn't underestimate you. You feel powerless against September, so you cast your anger on me. You know what? If you can get September, I'll leave Benjamin."

Inexplicably, September was involved in two bets.

"Emma, I don't hate you." Sean paused and whispered: "I like your frankness, to be honest. But don't get it all mixed up. You can't fit in the world of Benjamin, and I won't force you to leave. Because when the time comes, someone will naturally ask you to leave."

Naturally, someone would ask me to leave...But did I care?

I cared, but I had no reason not to leave.

After all, there is no need for me to linger and stay obsessed with a contract.

Even if I liked that man.

"Emma, come here." Benjamin suddenly turned his head and called me. I glanced at Sean and quickly got up, and sat down beside Benjamin.

Benjamin rubbed my head with his palm and said, "The money I won tonight is gonna be your pocket money."

I said okay.

I was hungry after Benjamin played for two hours. He also withdrew from the table in time, putting the cards on the table and saying, "It's late."

Coral asked, "It's not even eight o'clock."

Benjamin said lightly, "Well, Mrs. Dunn is hungry."

The words were very imaginative.

Coral rolled her eyes and said, "And? Is that any of my business that something replaceable is hungry?"

Something replacable? What did she mean?

I looked at Benjamin, feeling puzzled. I saw that his face became cold and his voice was stern: "Coral, she is Mrs. Dunn and your sister-in-law. Speak with respect. If you talk like that ever again, I'm gonna make sure you never talk. I'm pretty sure you know I mean it."

"Penta, Coral didn't mean it."

The people on the side wanted to ease the tension.

Benjamin directly took my hand and left with a cold face. Before leaving, he coldly left a sentence: "Go back to Cietin tomorrow. Don't let me see your face for six months."

He gave the order and the girl would have to obey.

That girl liked him so all she said was just a sign of her jealousy.

Benjamin took the car key from me, opened the car door, and told me to get in, and I sat in the passenger seat obediently.

After looking at each other in silence for a while, Benjamin asked coldly: "Why weren't you angry because of their words?"

"Uh..." Did I need to be angry?

I asked: "What did she mean by something replaceable?

Was she saying that I replaced Edith?

The woman with the same surname as me?
