Genetic Ascension novel Chapter 1682

Chapter 1682 Rulebook (1)

Malikhi looked at Sylas calmly. The latter didn't seem to be stressed about anything at all.

Normally, someone who was arrogant and very much confident in their abilities would find most of these things to be an insult. Whether it was Fanelei ignoring him, being forced to join a competition with children, and now he wasn't even being given the credit for being a Perfect Spark Seed like he should.

Even Malikhi, with his own temper, would be furious about it all.

Granted, Malikhi had also touched upon the A-tier, so the situation was still a bit different. But the reality remained nonetheless.

If he had been interested in Sylas before, he was many times more interested now. Why would an eccentric like Fanelei choose a Legacy Disciple with such a temperament?

If Malikhi knew that Fanelei had prepared a mansion of resources that Sylas hadn't even touched yet, his assessment of Sylas might have been even higher than it was now.

While the two of them stood there, lost in their thoughts, the entourage that followed behind Malikhi and the receptionist waiting on them were all in an awkward sort of silence.

If Sylas had been alone, not a single one of them would have shown this level of patience. But with Malikhi's presence? Hardly anyone dared to breathe too heavily.

Given the fact the Analei reset their abilities every time they reincarnated, one could only wonder why a child like Malikhi was receiving so much respect right now... If it was just from his branch of the family, it might make sense. But why the receptionist as well?

After a while, Sylas arranged his thoughts. He honestly hadn't been thinking much about the challenge here; he was still thinking about those streaks of crimson lightning, the way his blood pumped and boiled, that excitement in his chest.

He felt a real fire inside of him for the first time in his life. A fire he wanted to protect.

He was excited in ways he couldn't describe, and that excitement could only be vented one way right now.

Was this what passion felt like?

Sylas took out a badge Analei had given him and placed it down on the receptionist's desk.

"Please register me."

The receptionist, a member of a familiar Race with long earlobes and a strong, wok-like belly, was taken aback.

That was certainly not a badge she expected to see from a human F-tier. It was a minted badge of the Analei, outlined with seven stars around it, representing the perfect reincarnation cycle of the Race. It was a badge only given to the purest blood members of the Analei. Why would Sylas have it for registration?

She hesitated and looked toward Malikhi, but the latter was wearing a lazy expression that made her shudder from head to toe.

Seeing this, she only took the briefest of pauses before she hurried to complete the registry.
