[Thanks chrono, may you grow lactating man-boobs <3]
Seeing the state of Alex, Sylas knew that there was no way he had come here on purpose. In that case... was it his Luck acting up again? But why would his Luck think he needed this?
Sylas ignored Alex for a moment, looking back toward Jala. The latter was still standing there stiffly, not turning as though he hoped that would make it so that Sylas couldn’t see him at all.
Was it because a dead man was somehow walking? But that was impossible too. He had even taken Jala’s destiny — he had to be dead. How could he be anything other than dead? It didn’t make any sense.
Sylas’ hand suddenly shot out like lightning and Alex’s reaction was quick. He faded to black, appearing ten meters away... only for his neck to be snatched up anyway.
Alex’s legs dangled from the ground, an emerald palm squeezing around his throat. Sylas hardly seemed to react to his movement, as though he had known where he would disappear to. He had seen through it instantly.
His Will crushed Alex’s, pressing down until he couldn’t resist at all.
An odd suction came from Alex, as though he was going to swallow up Sylas’ Will to mitigate it instead. But when it felt as though he might succeed, Sylas’ Will plowed through.
Sylas’ Will was far too powerful for whatever Skill Alex was trying to use to work out. Even a whale had a limit to how much ocean water it could take in at once, and Sylas’ Will was vaster than an ocean to the likes of Alex.

Sylas indifferently looked at Alex’s stat page. All things considered, they were absolutely ridiculous in a way he had never seen before. The gap between his stats, and Sylas’ own — the last time he had seen them, anyway — was enormous.
And yet, he was practically a child in Sylas’ hands.
Honestly speaking, with his array of abilities, even if Sylas’ stats hadn’t budged an inch, he would have still been able to crush Alex like this. But presumably, since then, he had entered a completely new tier of existence.
Alex’s stats were great, but... was he a D-Grade Race member like Sylas was? Did he have a Royal Line running through his veins right now? Did he have two E-Grade Professions? A Gold and Silver Gene Class?
"Listen, listen. Alright, I know you don’t have the full story, but you do have the right to be mad. I don’t know what kind of shit Luck left me crash landing on the one planet you of all people are on, but at this point I’ve got no choice but to accept that you’re some sort of God Son in the Milky Way now.
"BUT I MEAN NO HARM!"
Sylas’ eyes narrowed. "Why are you trying to avoid me? What did you do?"
Alex tried to clear his throat, but it was already taking all the muscles in his neck to speak so clearly when Sylas was squeezing down on them. So it came out a bit neutered.
"FUCK ME!" Alex wanted to cry, but he truly had no tears at this point. How could he have guessed that something like this would happen?
He had avoided everyone, managed to slip out of Legacy’s grasp, only to land right back here.
In the end, he had no choice but to tell Sylas what happened. There was just no way he was going to be able to slip out of this one. Somehow, he felt Sylas would be harder to deal with than Legacy would ever be.
The more Sylas listened, the sterner his expression became. Everything boiled down to that Race.
He had done everything to pull Earth out of a quagmire and didn’t even take that Race’s Legacy because he felt it would be too troublesome to deal with, only for this guy to go behind his back to take it all.
Half of Sylas wanted to snap Alex’s neck right here and now.
