Chapter 1164: Rewards (1)
[Wheel of Fortune (???)]
[The foundation of a warrior is their strongest asset and their greatest boon. But often, one’s starting position is their limiting factor. Regardless of how great you can become in the future, any mistake made here will inevitably rock your chances of growing to your true potential.
[Many take this to be unfair and curse the world, claiming that they would be better if they were just given a better chance. Is that you?
[Prove it.]

Sylas stared at the description for a while. Originally, he had dismissed it, but after feeling out his Will, he couldn’t help but narrow his eyes.
Once again, the description felt almost too vague and quite useless. But Sylas had his own abilities to see through certain things at this point, especially when they relied so heavily on F-Grade Runes to function as well.
This treasure…
There was a flash of light, and it was pulled out from a mysterious realm that stored his treasures. This was probably where the All-Seeing Eye had deposited everything before it vanished.
When the flash of light faded, there was a jet-black sundial the size of Sylas’s palm that slowly fell into it. Its ticks were a bright gold, and its heft was quite… something. It felt like he was holding a world up.
The sundial was heavy to the point veins bulged around Sylas’s arm, but what was odd was that Sylas had found himself catching it almost casually.
‘It’s adjusting to my power output, forcing me to strain to my limits depending on muscle activation. It borders on the edge of something casual and something very much not—almost like it’s teasing me, testing me, trying to push against my boundaries and see what makes me… tick.’
A flood of insight entered Sylas’s mind. He was no longer just analyzing Runes based on their logic, but he found himself subconsciously trying to grasp the “human” elements of them.
He found that anthropomorphizing Runes actually not only made them far easier to control, but also far easier to grasp and comprehend. In addition, with his True Pride Seed and his evolved eyes, although he couldn’t control them as easily, Sylas found that observing E-Grade Runes wasn’t a problem at all anymore.
Of course, in the past, he could even see D-Grade Runes and take control of them under the right circumstances. But he had never felt as comfortable with Runes above F-Grade as he did right now.
At least in terms of observation, there was no longer a dividing line between Sylas and the E-Grade currently. Though… that might also be heavily related to the elevation of his Runeweaver Profession as well.
‘I’m certain. This treasure…’
The teasing tone in the description and Sylas’s feelings seemed to point toward one thing. freeweɓnovel.cøm
This so-called Wheel of Fortune would force Sylas to put his money where his mouth was. If he really believed he was so much better than everyone else around him…

But it still wasn’t enough for the Wheel of Fortune to allow him to absorb Cenk’s Foundation to bolster his own.
“Okay. I understand.”
He would just have to be twice as good. Hardly an issue at all. He felt that he still had far more room to improve, and he had only decided to deal with that D-Grade on a whim. If he had more time to prepare…
He would do just fine.
The little girl didn’t make fun of Sylas this time, though she was still a bit annoyed. Where was the despair? He was so confident before, but also so confident now. Where was the character development?
She wanted a refund.
“Wheel of Fortunes are quite rare Treasures—but they’re also limited-use and not permanent, so that mitigates things somewhat. They also have a good way of… adjusting themselves,” she seemed to pick the words carefully so she didn’t give too much away. “If you want to know everything about them, it won’t cost you too much with the discounts. Just 10 Silver Genes will do.”
Sylas shook his head. He remembered a time when 10 Silver Genes would bankrupt him. Now he had over tens of thousands of them in his body and still didn’t feel satisfied thanks to his new D-Grade Race status.
He paid.
