Forced Marriage To The Secret Billionaire novel Chapter 47

AUTHOR’S POV

The Devil.

It was not what she expected at all.

He was average looking. He was sitting on the chair, staring up at her. He looked dumbfounded.

Did she come to the wrong cabin?

“ Sara. Please sit down. ” He gestured toward the chair and Sara pursed her lips.

The man she had came across was not so strange but their voices matched perfectly.

She didn’t focus on him much and walked toward the chair opposite him before lowering herself over it.

Just get over with it and leave. That was her plan.

“ It’s nice to finally see you with a face. ” Sara smiled awkwardly and sighed out.

She was so bad at it.

This was the man who knew everything she had done and who claimed to love her, yet she felt that this was not that man.

He was different. In what sense? She couldn’t pinpoint yet.

“ I already ordered the food. ” That man looked lost like he was listening to something completely else.

Sara frowned at this. There was something awfully wrong here.

“ Are you alright? ” She took it upon herself to ask the man sitting in front of her.

The man shifted his gaze toward her from the table and gulped visibly. “ Of course. ” His eyes dulled down but he still didn’t seem to be focusing on her.

Sara couldn’t do anything other than to nod her head, politely.

She had figured out what was wrong here. This man didn’t carry himself the same way, she knew The Devil carried himself. The behavior was odd too. It seemed like he was constantly listening to someone else other than her like when how someone loses focus when they talk on the phone.

In the end, did it matter to Sara? No, it didn’t.

The food arrived and they ate in awkward silence. The man was clearly nervous, confirming Sara’s doubts further.

During eating the dinner, she had noticed something on his neck too and she instantly recognized it as an under experiment object.

After finishing the dinner, Sara kept her eyes fixed at him. She waited for a while for him to say something, but he didn’t.

“ It’s extreme disrespect toward me. ” Sara hissed out at the man who looked startled.

“ What’s wrong, M – Sara? ” That man corrected himself at the last moment. Sara was sure, he was going to say Ms. Sara.

Sara closed her eyes, breathing deeply. After a moment, she opened her eyes and pushed herself off the chair before rounding the table and stopping in front of him.

Placing her hand on the back of his chair, she leaned in, noticing how he was clearly intimidated.

“ This is extreme disrespect toward me. If he doesn’t want me to know him, see him…He should say so. He doesn’t need to make a fool out of me. ” Sara spoke calmly and pushed her hand forward, grabbing the man’s collar and pushing it down.

“ A voice changing device. Are you kidding me?! You thought I won’t be able to notice? ” Sara spoke in his ear, her eyes fixed at the earpiece in it.

She t’ched and looked down at her dress which often caught up in the heels making her almost face plant herself.

She looked up again and he was too far. “ Silas! ” She shouted his name but he didn’t listen because the heavy pour drowned her timid voice.

Sara stopped for a moment, her breaths coming out in pants. All that skipping meals was really taking a toll on her.

She shook her head and began running again. “ SILAS! ” She shouted on the top of her lungs, wanting to stop him at any cost.

Suddenly, he stopped and Sara panted heavier. He turned around and looked at her in the distance.

“ Si – Ouch. ” Sara stumbled over the heels and fell down on the footpath, her hands and feet scrapping against it.

She tried to push herself on her feet as she feared he might leave her again. Her feet was hurting too much though. She must have twisted it.

“ Silas. ” She called out to him and looked up to find him standing there in the distance, just staring.

Her eyes teared up. He wouldn’t come even when she was hurting? Did she hurt him this much? She sniffed, tears beginning to spill out of her eyes.

She never cried easily but she was really miserable right now.

And then, she noticed him shaking his head in the distance.

“ COME HERE, YOU UNGRATEFUL BITCH!!! IF I GET THERE…I AM GOING TO MURDER YOU! ” She yelled at him as she sniffed louder.

Pursing his lips, Silas noticed her crying loudly in the distance. There was something wrong with this woman’s head, that, he knew for sure.

He sighed dramatically before he began walking toward her.
