Forced Marriage To The Secret Billionaire novel Chapter 38

AUTHOR'S POV

“ SARA! ” It was Sara's father who shouted at her before everyone.

Sara didn't even spare him a glance. She was busy gazing at Grandfather Magnus emotionlessly. Her hands curled by her side as she gulped.

“ You made her do this but it was all for our family business afterall. So what are you going to do now Grandfather? ” Sara's words took a 180 turn surprising everyone including Silas and her father.

Silas's heartbeat picked it's speed as he realized the same thing once again...

There was nothing good left in Sara anymore. Her soul had rotten away because of Vengeance.

Grandfather Magnus didn't say anything. He just sat on his grand chair and stared at his young grandchild - the only one without a mother in their family.

In Grandfather Magnus's eyes, Sara was fierce and manipulative. She never said what she was thinking or feeling. Every word which fell out of her mouth was cruel and twisted. She knew the world was harsh and she knew she had to do everything - good or evil, to survive here.

This made Sara capable in his eyes. But then there was Silas - the son-in-law who weakened her. Her abililities were shadowed by his inabilities now.

The silence stretched too far. Everyone was lost in their own thoughts. They all awaited Grandfather Magnus's decision.

Whether Camelia will be saved or she will be left to deal with everything on her own...This was the ultimate question here.

Aunt Aria's nerves were jiggly. She couldn't let her daughter rot in prison no matter how evil she was.

“ What do you think should be done? ” Grandfather Magnus spoke out after a while and everyone was stunned.

Grandfather Magnus had never asked for opinions or suggestions before. Never.

Sara lifted her chin as her conscience tried to knock at the doors of her mind. She pushed that conscience down and made her decision.

“ We must clear our family name Grandfather and after that, Camelia must leave and never return. ” Sara's tone was calm but the words she uttered, brought a storm with them.

“ DO YOU HEAR WHAT YOU ARE SAYING? ” Uncle John roared out before standing up from his spot like an arrow hit his body.

The man who was the epitome of sinister, the one who liked to see everyone suffering as a form of his own entertainment, was on edge because his own daughter was suffering now.

It was funny for Sara but it was overwhelming at the same time.

They all had never screamed out and shouted when Grandfather Magnus married her off without her consent due to a drunken mistake and then he shunned her from the family while everyone stayed silent.

Sara's eyes moved to rest on her own father. Atleast, Camelia had a mother who was ready to show her true colors for her and a father who was ready to fight just to save his daughter.

Her daughter was going to prison for something she hadn't done on her own and this Sara was going to take her place. This was unacceptable for Aunt Aria. She had hated Sara from the start and she had gotten tired of this kind act now.

“ YOU! I WILL KILL YOU. YOU ARE NOTHING BUT FILTH! HOW CAN YOU EVEN THINK OF TAKING MY DAUGHTER'S PLACE?! ” All Restraint was gone for Aunt Aria. All she saw was red as she lunged at Sara who flinched and stumbled back in fear.

Before Aunt Aria could grab Sara's hair and beat the hell out of her like she intended, a hand grabbed both her wrists and pushed her back, causing her to stumble on her feet.

“ Do. Not. Touch. Her. ” Silas let out each word slowly as shivers ran down Aunt Aria's spine.

Silas's eyes had turned darker and he looked dangerous. He didn't seem like that playful person who let everyone trample over him and thought nothing of it.

“ Silas. ” Sara whispered out in horror and glanced at Grandmother Eloise who was fuming.

If steam could come out of human ears in anger, the whole Lexington Villa would have been filled with steam coming out of Grandmother Eloise's ears.

Why wouldn't she be angry? Aunt Aria was Grandmother Eloise's favoured child.

“ SILAS. ALEXANDER. ” Grandmother Eloise slowly got up and marched toward Silas who was still staring down at Aunt Aria warily.

Before he could register anything just like others, Grandmother Eloise had raised her old hand and slapped Silas right across his face.
