Five Years Wasted Now They Beg Her Back novel Chapter 59

The owner of the shoes standing before Grace was a man with a tall, imposing figure.

Through the thin material of his suit trousers, she could almost feel the explosive power contained within his legs.

Grace struggled to lift her head.

Backlit by the light, she couldn’t make out the man’s face, only a sharp, perfect jawline and a pair of deep, dark eyes that seemed to pull in one’s very soul.

The room’s occupant was Damien.

He had just finished listening to his assistant, Ivy, recount all of the Hart family’s sordid dealings over the past few days.

The SOS text message had arrived on Ivy’s phone two days ago.

Almost immediately, Damien had used all his connections to uncover every last one of the Hart family’s dirty secrets.

He had intended to appear before her in a more dignified, overwhelming manner, to rescue her from that filthy mire completely unscathed.

He never imagined that she would crash into his world in such a desperate, tragic, and disheveled state.

Damien looked at the woman curled up on the floor.

Her white dress was wrinkled and stained.

Her hair was a mess, her face was flushed, and her eyes were unfocused. She had clearly been given something she shouldn't have consumed.

Damien’s heart felt as if it were being squeezed by an invisible hand.

An agonizing ache and a towering rage churned violently in his eyes.

The Hart family.

What a fine Hart family!

He slowly knelt down. With a gentleness that completely contradicted the icy aura radiating from him, he swept Grace into his arms.

Her body was so light, as light as a feather.

And yet, so feverishly hot.
