Before Bella could dwell on it, her office door was pushed open.
No one but Sebastian would dare to do that.
Seeing the shattered pieces of a phone screen on the floor, he knew what the loud crash had been.
"Why the big scene?"
It wasn't that Sebastian thought Bella shouldn't be angry; he just felt she shouldn't be throwing such a tantrum at the office.
There were so many people outside. Who knew what they might think was wrong with Bella.
Sebastian hated anything that could bring negative attention to the company.
He didn't want anyone speculating that a project at the Blake Group was failing, which would be the presumed reason for Bella's outburst.
Bella was startled by Sebastian's sudden appearance, momentarily at a loss.
She didn't want him to see her in such an agitated state.
"I'm just so angry. In just over two minutes, the chance was gone. I can't imagine how many people lost money in this. And how many people are cursing the Mercer Group right now.
I'm sorry, Sebastian. I'll explain to everyone outside that it was for personal reasons."
Her explanation reassured Sebastian. He offered some consolation, "Fortunately, your investment in it wasn't that large. Try to pull yourself together soon. The wedding and the company both require your attention. Don't let this little thing drain your energy."
His gaze then returned to the floor. "I'll have maintenance come clean this up. Be careful you don't cut yourself."
With that, he walked out.
A crowd of curious onlookers had gathered outside.
