“Tsk.” Seeing his pitiful expression, Juniper raised a brow, a half-smile on her lips. “You really know how to get jealous.”
“Did you miss me?” Shanley lowered his head, his nose deliberately brushing against hers, his voice a seductive whisper. “I missed you so much I couldn’t sleep all night.”
Juniper looked up, her senses filled with Shanley’s familiar, pleasant scent, which was utterly intoxicating. A few seconds later, she stood on her tiptoes and pressed a soft kiss to his lips. Her actions spoke louder than words. Yes, she’d missed him. Very much.
“Heh.” Shanley’s frustration and annoyance were instantly soothed by her simple gesture.
“Alright, I’m going to change.” After the brief taste, she tried to pull away.
“Not so fast.” Shanley pulled her back, capturing her lips in a kiss that gradually deepened. “I’ll help you change in a minute.”
By the time Juniper came to her senses, half an hour had passed. She was sitting on Shanley’s lap, her clothes changed, but her cheeks were flushed and her breathing was unsteady. “Now this outfit is much better to look at,” Shanley said, his eyes devouring her like a starving wolf.
“Oh, shut up.” Juniper pushed him away and stood up, grabbing her bag. “Are you leaving first, or am I?” There were people everywhere; they couldn't risk being photographed.
“Hmm?” Shanley followed her, taking her hand, his eyes dark and intense. “Whatever you say, I’ll do.”
Juniper stared at him with a slight frown. He looked like a sad puppy left at home alone, desperate for attention. Just as Shanley expected her to tell him to hide in the room, she suddenly squeezed his hand. “Stay close to me.” With that, Juniper opened the door and pulled Shanley along, walking quickly toward the underground parking garage. The garage was usually cleared to protect the artists’ privacy, so they probably wouldn't run into anyone at this time.
“Okay.” Shanley’s lips curved into a smug grin as he matched her pace with his long strides, letting her lead him like a child.
They moved quickly and finally reached the garage, ducking into Jimmie’s car.
