At that moment, in front of the camera, Miranda sat beaming at the monitor.
“She’s so thin but has quite an appetite,” the assistant director commented instinctively. In all his years of producing shows, he had never seen a celebrity eat so freely in public.
“She’s young, still a growing girl,” Miranda said, her eyes crinkling with a smile, the fondness in them impossible to hide. So genuine. She absolutely loved it.
“Notify the guests to get ready for the next segment.” Miranda cut to a different camera angle, her expression instantly turning stern again. The next part was the guest meet-and-greet, followed by a “heart-to-heart talk” where they would share their feelings.
Upon hearing the announcement, Yolanda immediately put down the bread she had only taken two bites of. She clutched her stomach, feigning being full. “Let’s go, Yates,” she said, standing up and heading for the door. An A-lister like this was bound to have connections, and if possible, she wanted to try and get closer. She wouldn't let any opportunity slip by.
“Alright.” Yates forced a smile, setting down his coffee and getting up to follow her. He knew exactly what was on Yolanda’s mind. Two episodes in, and she’d been pulling all sorts of stunts—hogging the spotlight, sucking up—all in a desperate bid for fame. But if Yolanda got more screen time and buzz, his own popularity would rise with it. It was a mutually beneficial arrangement, so he couldn't be bothered to call her out.

Yolanda and Yates were the first to arrive, followed by Kellan and Willow.
“Good morning, Kellan!” Yolanda greeted him with effusive warmth before turning to Willow. “Willow, your skin is amazing.” Her tone was noticeably less enthusiastic. “Not like me. I have such bad insomnia, my skin is always a wreck.”
Willow shot her a lazy glance. The woman’s face was so caked in makeup it looked like she’d plastered it on, creating a flawless, porcelain “complexion.” If the cameras weren't rolling, Willow would have rolled her eyes so hard they’d get stuck.
“Really?” Knowing Yolanda was just playing games, Willow gave a cold smirk and said deliberately, “If your skin is that bad, you really shouldn’t be wearing such heavy makeup. It’s not good for it.”
Yolanda’s smile froze on her face.
Just as the awkwardness peaked, Jasper and Jiana arrived.
“Jiana, good morning!” Yolanda immediately scurried over to her.
