Juniper remained silent, observing everything carefully. As they walked, her guide suddenly stopped and said respectfully, "Nocturne, please wait a moment."
Juniper sat in the living room, looking around with a bored expression until her eyes landed on a plate of desserts on the table. Candies, cookies—all her favorites.
Just as she was about to reach for one, she heard distinct footsteps approaching from behind the door. It had to be Warren.
"Master Nocturne?" Warren strode into the hall, his deep gaze locking onto Juniper. His initial look of pleasant surprise shifted to astonishment, then his expression grew grave.
He never imagined that the famous physician would be nothing more than a young kid. With the leader of Sigma Network as a recent precedent, Warren didn't dare let his guard down.
"Don't I look the part?" Juniper asked, pulling her gaze back and arching an eyebrow as she coolly studied the man.
"You don't," Warren answered bluntly, though he quickly adopted a more humble posture. "I'm a suspicious man by nature. Please forgive me."
"You suffer from insomnia," Juniper stated, sitting back in her chair and crossing her legs, her eyes filled with a casual indifference. "Even when you manage to sleep, you wake up in the middle of the night. You've likely been sick recently, with a slight cough and some congestion."
"Anyone could find that out with a little digging," Warren interrupted coldly.
"Fine. Let's talk about something no one else knows," Juniper said, uncrossing her legs. She walked over to Warren and said softly, "You're having a little trouble urinating, aren't you, Warren?"
Hearing this, Warren's composed demeanor shattered. His face changed instantly. He glanced around nervously before his eyes shot back to Juniper, a flicker of panic in them. "What did you say?"
