Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 1103

Interesting. This was truly fascinating. She was definitely Theia Sommers's daughter; she had the exact same stubborn temper. The world could be collapsing around her, and she wouldn't even blink. He could hold a knife to her throat, and she'd probably still calmly negotiate terms.

"What's so funny?" Celine frowned, annoyed. "Spit it out. What do you want?"

"Celine." Corvus's smile vanished as he spoke slowly. "Do you want to see your parents?"

Parents? Celine's legs went weak at the word, and she nearly collapsed. Had she misheard him? Did this man just ask about her parents?

"What do you mean?" Her breathing hitched. She clenched her fists, forcing herself to stay calm. "You know where they are?"

"Of course." Corvus nodded, tilting his chin toward the wall. "She's right next door."

Celine snapped her head to the side, but all she saw was thick, impenetrable stone. Her mind was reeling. Juniper hadn't been able to track their parents down, so how had this man found them?

"Do you want to see her?" Corvus kept his tone perfectly even, making it impossible to read his intentions.

She did. Of course she did. But she refused to show it, her eyes guarded. Until she figured out his endgame, she wasn't going to say a word.

"I heard you recently found your family," Corvus pivoted, offering a mild smile. "Tell me, where are they?"

Theia's entire family had been wiped out long ago; her parents were dead. And Silas Blackwood was an orphan. The only family Celine could have found were her siblings. So many prime experimental subjects. The mere thought sent a thrill of anticipation through Corvus.
