Quinn looked up and saw that her uncle, Moldred, had arrived at some point. His expression was serious.

“Of course I know you’re in Yarburn. I’m asking for your exact location.”

“Right outside the Bridger family ancestral hall.”

“Great. I’ll meet you there in half an hour,” Laura said.

Quinn blinked. “What do you mean? Wait, are you in Yarburn?”

“Yeah, I just landed. See you soon!” Laura said and hung up.

Since the ancestral hall was located downtown, there were plenty of small restaurants nearby. She picked one and sat down to wait.

Quinn chuckled and ruffled his hair like he was a golden retriever. “Okay, I know. Why didn’t you tell me you were coming on the phone?”
