Chapter 416 Caught Off Guard
Halle didn’t expect this at all and froze.
Before she could even process how James had shown up here, his expression had already changed as he forcefully barged into her room.
Ignoring the daggers in Halle’s eyes, he stared at her annoying tears.
James didn’t like seeing her cry, but he asked in a lazy, offhand tone, “Why are you crying? Who bullied you?”
As he spoke, he even reached out to touch her face.
This guy is unbelievable. He broke into my room and touched my face! Halle slapped his wandering hand away. “I cried because a man took good care of me, got it?”
The charming look in James’s eyes iced over instantly, but it passed in a second. He set the takeout down, then pretended to stroll around, checking everywhere, not even sparing the closet or the bathroom.
When he returned to the living room, Halle was eating her late-night food like a queen, giving him a look like she was watching an idiot.
Damn.
I’ve been played.
James felt stupid too. He couldn’t believe he’d actually believed a lie like that.
But coming from Halle, it really did sound convincing.
He was angry. He sat down across from her and, ignoring her sour face, grabbed her late-night food and started eating.
James stared at her flirtatiously, not embarrassed in the slightest. “If you want, I can take care of you too. Mouth, hands, whatever. I’m fine with all of it. I’ll make sure I take such good care of you that you’re crying and begging me to stop. So what do you say, Ms. Kinsman? Care to consider it just a little?”
Halle knew James had always been shamelessly flirty, right out in the open, but he usually knew where the line was. Today, he’d really crossed it. Or maybe he’d just been pretending before, and since she snapped at him first today, he stopped pretending. Maybe this was his true face.
“Mr. Reagen, I truly admire your grand ambition to be a gigolo. With your figure and looks, you’d do brilliantly in that line of work. I’ll congratulate you in advance on your successful career.”
James really couldn’t stand her using that smooth, calculating social-politeness tone on him. He kept shamelessly pressing on. “Ms. Kinsman, just think about it properly. It’s not like we haven’t done it before. Don’t you trust my skills? Think back to that time. How many times did you climax in one night?”
