In all the time they had been married, Maeve had never once dropped by Orca Group to check up on him. She hadn't expected to randomly stumble upon him caught red-handed. She pulled out her phone to call him, only to remember the battery was completely dead.

She flashed the receptionist a bright, entirely fake smile. "Can I borrow your phone?"

Though highly reluctant, the receptionist pushed the corporate landline across the counter. Maeve picked up the receiver and went to dial, only to freeze. She had absolutely no idea what Andres's phone number was. When he had given it to her, she hadn't bothered to memorize a single digit.

Holding the receiver, she looked at the receptionist with total seriousness. "What's his number?"

The receptionist stared at her, utterly speechless.

As the two of them locked into an awkward staring contest, a familiar voice echoed through the lobby. "Miss Vance?"

Even with her face half-covered by a mask, Hans instantly recognized this terrifying little boss. Andres, who had been conversing in hushed tones with several executives, heard Hans call out and immediately snapped his head toward the front desk.

He was flanked by over a dozen men in pristine luxury suits, radiating pure, oppressive authority. Seeing Maeve standing in his lobby, he completely froze. He quickly muttered an instruction to his managers, then strode over with Hans at his heels.

"Maeve, what are you doing here?"

Under the completely petrified gazes of the two receptionists, Maeve slammed the phone receiver down. "I happened to be passing by and thought I'd treat you to lunch." She shook the two bags of fast food in front of his face.
