Ian was about to continue lecturing Sofia, assuming his authoritative elder posture.
The door was pushed open from the outside.
The first thing to catch Ian's eye was a breathtakingly handsome young face.
The man was tall, his presence utterly imposing.
He was clearly only in his twenties, yet his innate nobility and dominant aura were so suffocating that it made Ian's breathing hitch.
Faced with the newcomer, Ian wasn't the only one at a loss.
Mrs. Sloan was also shocked into silence by the sudden intrusion.
Aside from Sofia and the Sloans, there was a fourth person in the room.
It was Ian's daughter, who hadn't spoken a word the entire time.
The moment Andres strode into her line of sight, her heart involuntarily tightened.
The very first thought that crossed her mind was: This man is incredibly handsome.
Tall, devastatingly handsome, he looked like a top-tier billionaire straight out of a romance novel or a movie.
She had originally been reluctant to come on this visit to the White Manor.
After all, dealing with a paralyzed, distant relative was incredibly boring.
But right now, a spark of anticipation flared up inside her.
Andres's appearance allowed Sofia's tense nerves to finally relax.
"Andres, what brings you back?"
Andres shot a frosty glare at the uninvited guests in the room.
He walked straight over to Sofia, leaning down to give his mother a hug.
"Maeve and I missed you, so we came to visit."
"Mom, how's your health been these past few days?"
With her son back, Sofia felt she had someone to lean on, and her smile grew noticeably warmer.
"Everything is fine."
She looked like she wanted to say something more, but swallowed it back down.
Instead, she pivoted. "Andres, you're back just in time. Let me introduce you to some relatives."
Sofia pointed at the three people sitting opposite her.
