Ian settled into his seat, his fingers drumming a slow rhythm on the table, just like he used to during board meetings.

"What does it matter whether it's over or not? I'm sure Mr. Raymond has other plans. Besides, I've wanted to give him the 5% shares of the EcoTraverse Group since the beginning. He refused, and I had no choice but to hold onto them."

Mr. Haley was buttering up Ian, something he would never do when dealing with other members of the Raymond family.
