Maja moved to her car, rubbing her temples.

Shawn was standing nearby, practically looking at her with infatuation.

"Mr. Pennyfeather, that music was really something, blew me away."

Maja found this amusing, patting him on the shoulder.

"We've sealed the deal for the Ford endorsement, and we're signing tomorrow. Gotta work our butts off."

Shawn's eyes flickered with an unreadable emotion. Seeing they were alone, he whispered, "Mr. Pennyfeather, there's something on your face. Close your eyes."

Maja didn't question him. "Where?"

Shawn looked at her face, his throat bobbing. He was dying to kiss her, but then he heard footsteps behind him.

He quickly pinched Maja's cheek, disappointment in his voice. "Gone."

Maja opened her eyes, smiling at him. "Thanks, I've called your agent to pick you up. You should head home."

As she spoke, she noticed Ian not too far away. Surprised, he's back?

Through the car windshield, Shawn had already seen the man approaching from behind and reluctantly got into the car his agent drove.

"Mr. Raymond." Maja called out, though she wasn't in the best of moods. Playing the violin had brought back some memories, so she bent down, ready to get into her car.

But Ian quickly came over, holding her from behind.

She stiffened, sneaking a guilty look around.

The party was still going, but she'd left early, so there was no one around.

She was initially heading for the driver's seat, but Ian made her sit in the passenger seat and took the wheel himself.

Maja could tell he was upset, really upset.

The atmosphere in the car was heavy. Waiting for the traffic lights, he drummed his fingers on the steering wheel.

"He tried to kiss you just now."

Maja was taken aback. It took her a moment to realize he was talking about Shawn.

"Mr. Raymond, I think there's been a misunderstanding."

Ian's grip on the steering wheel tightened, and as soon as the traffic lights changed, he stepped on the gas.

Back at Rosewood Manor, Maja saw that he wanted to go in with her, which made her frown.

As soon as she opened the bathroom door, she saw Ian sitting in a chair.

He was slightly obsessed with cleanliness, so he wouldn't sit on the bed in clothes he had worn outside unless he took them off.

Maja didn't expect him to be sitting there quietly, so she quickly turned off the light.

She opened the bedroom door, ready to leave for the guest room where she now slept.

But Ian's footsteps quickly followed her, and he closed the door she had just opened and enveloped her in his shadow.

"Maja." He called her name, her scent filling his nostrils.

"You have been working hard for the company recently, and have been sick. You seem to have lost weight?"

His breath was on her ear, and his hands started to wander, kissing the exposed skin.

Maja's hand clenched the doorknob, confused by his actions.

But the cold doorknob brought her back to reality, and she pushed him away.

"I'll call Jeff to pick you up. Also, pack up the clothes in the closet, don't leave them here, and don't come here again."
