When Ian saw the picture, he nearly jumped out of his skin.

He called Tyler, but Tyler had seen Maja leave first, so when asked where the two were, he could only reply, "Just left, I have no idea."

"Were they together?"

It's common knowledge that Beck was a playboy with a list of ex-girlfriends.

What did it mean that Maja was hanging out with a guy like that?

He felt a fire rising in his chest. He'd tried several times to ask her out, but she was always "busy." Yet she found the time to grab a meal with Beck!

Jealousy surged within him, and he couldn't help but call Maja again.

But this time, Maja was back at Rosewood Manor, having a bite to eat and ready to hit the sack.

Her stomach was bothering her, and she was tired. All she wanted was to curl up in bed.

Ian called once, then twice.

"Maja, come out. I need to talk to you."

Maja glanced at the time on her phone. It was nearly 1 am.

Only Ian would have the nerve to bother people at this hour.

She took a deep breath. She could feel her teeth grinding!

For some reason, she got out of bed, got dressed, and drove to the entrance of Greenfield Gardens.

But Ian wasn't at Greenfield Gardens. He was out drinking with Tyler.

Tyler was dramatically describing the way Beck had looked at Maja.

"Did you see the picture I sent you? The way Beck was looking at her like he was totally smitten, he must be her boyfriend!"

"Buzz off!"

He was left speechless, watching Tyler put an arm around his shoulder.

"You've been with her all this time, and she hasn't pushed you away. I think she might still have feelings for you."

"Really?"

This bit of news was like a gift.

But then, Ian remembered that Tyler had misled him into thinking Penny liked him, which had started his interest in her.

So, he couldn't completely trust Tyler's words. He shouldn't take them too seriously, just keep them in mind.

Just then, Maja called to say she was at the entrance of Greenfield Gardens.

Ian squinted, instantly sobering up and grabbing his coat to leave.

Tyler called after him, "Just like that? Did she ask you out?"

Ian paused, his posture radiating pride.
