Ian stood up and started heading for the door after finishing his words.

But he heard footsteps from behind, then a hard hit to his shoulder that made his body involuntarily sway to one side.

From the corner of his eye, he saw an emotionless woman passing by.

Realizing she did it on purpose, anger instantly filled his heart.

He jerked her back abruptly.

Maja was also burning with anger and struggled forcefully.

They both lost balance and fell backward onto the couch.

Ian tightly gripped Maja's chin, asking, "I've backed down, why are you still pissed at me?"

Maja couldn't move, her eyes reddening, she wish she could bite him right there.

Seeing her aggrieved look, Ian immediately let go.

Maja took the opportunity to shove him away.

She picked up the check on the floor, but as she got up, she felt dizzy.

"Mr. Raymond, I promise there won't be any deals like this next time."

Seeing her struggling to stand, a pang of sadness suddenly hit Ian.

But he was also annoyed because he couldn't remember anything, and his head would ache whenever he tried.

Feeling dizzy, Maja wobbled towards the door.

Ian caught up with her in big strides, his tone icy.

"You're sick, have someone take you home." Having said that, he just walked away.

He definitely wouldn't give her a lift, after all, this woman was just too ungrateful.

But he waited for a while, and she didn't catch up.

Turning his head, Ian found Maja standing at the door, looking dazed, her face pale.

He walked back again.

"What's wrong?"

Maja held her stomach, too painful to speak, her forehead was covered in cold sweat, she even felt like throwing up.

Ian stood still, seeing her in pain, he just picked her up.

Ian drove to the hotel, stopped the car, walked to the passenger side, opened the car door, and pulled her out.

Maja felt dizzy from being pulled, leaned against the side, and started throwing up.

Her whole body was shaking.

"I'm sorry, I messed up your seat."

Her voice was weak, and her legs were shaking.

Ian glanced at the seat, there were blood stains. He was a neat freak, seeing this of course made him unhappy, his face instantly turned sour.

But seeing her in such pain, the scolding he planned to give was swallowed back down.

What a bummer.

He picked her up and went straight into the elevator.

Once in the room, he took off his coat and put it on the couch, asking her to sit on it.

His clothes were all tailored, and this wasn't the first time he used his coat as her seat cushion.

Maja's face was pale, devoid of any color. Her head tilted slightly backward, and her breathing was very faint.
