Ryan nearly had his head taken off by a flying mug. He dodged it just in time.

Maja was also embarrassed and wanted to hide her shy face behind Ryan.

"Get back here!"

Ian's face was stormy with anger, his eyes boring into Maja.

Maja froze, feeling her scalp prickle, and quickly turned round, asking awkwardly, "Mr. Raymond?"

Ian scrutinized her. He admitted she was quite a looker, but not enough to let loose in the office.

That was not his style, something must have happened for that incident to take place.

Ian took a deep breath, smirking.

"You're fired. Don't come back. Go to the finance department to settle your salary,” Then he dialed HR, “Get me a new secretary."

HR was a bit dumbfounded. Everyone in the company knew Mr. Raymond had his eye on his designer and had her transferred to be his secretary. Even Jeff was nearly replaced, and now he wanted a new secretary?

They asked cautiously, "Mr. Raymond, what about Jeff?"

Ian only then remembered a man named Jeff had said that he was his assistant that morning.

For some reason, when he walked in, Ian had found Penny more pleasing to the eye, so he'd fired him on the spot.

But now, Penny definitely couldn't stay.

Ian frowned, "Just bring Jeff back."

He hung up and saw Maja was still there, "Why are you still here?"

Maja finally snapped out of it and turned to leave.

She walked slowly as if she was hoping to be called back. But she made it all the way outside the Raymond Corporation building without being called back.

Maja glanced at the sign. It advertised massages for ten dollars a pop, but only those who had been here would know what that really meant.

"Ms. Pennyfeather, we're here."

Maja looked at the crumbling little house in front of her. It was clear that the rent there was dirt cheap.

As she reached out to knock on the door, dust fell from the wall.

"Who's there?"

A hoarse male voice came from inside, and then the door creaked open slightly. A man in a gray down jacket stood inside, a strong smell of alcohol hit her, making Maja almost want to vomit on the spot.

Meetman scrutinized the young woman in front of him, and then slammed the door shut,

"We don't need any door-to-door service!"
