She hadn't expected Ian to find the culprit so quickly.

As soon as they got in the car, Ian didn't start driving right away. Instead, he asked her, "Does your hand still hurt?"

Maja had already taken off her soaked bandage, and she was still holding a splint in her hand.

Ian moved to the back seat and took out a small first-aid kit from the car. He took out a new bandage, took her hand, and began to rewrap it.

Looking at the state of her fingers, he could only imagine how severe her pain must have been.

His heart ached, a feeling that had been recurring over the past few days.

Maja didn't say a word; she was still a bit dazed from what just happened.

Ian finished wrapping the bandage and looked up at her, saying, "If Carlene was involved, I wouldn’t cover for her."

Maja closed her eyes, which pissed Ian off.

What a thankless task!

He threw the first-aid kit in the back seat and started driving.

When they arrived at the villa, there was already a bound man there.

Maja recognized him at a glance; this was the man who had hurt her fingers that day.

Though he had only appeared for a short time, the pain had been so intense that she remembered him clearly.

Now, seeing this bound man, she felt a bit scared.

Seeing Maja's expression, Ian knew he had caught the right man.

"Is it him?"

"Yes."

Then the man was dragged out. Through a closed door, they could still hear his screams.

Ian pulled out a cigarette. He exuded an air of sophistication and cruelty. He lit the cigarette and looked up and down at Maja.

"This is my cousin Lingery's bodyguard. Do you know Lingery?"

Why would Lingery suddenly attack Penny?

Or was it because of Ian's special attention to Penny that the Raymond family started to notice her?

If so, then it was Ian who dragged her into this.

Lingery was lying on the ground in pain, unable to stand up, looking like a flipped shrimp.

The Raymond family had strict rules so that family members couldn't hurt each other. The heir had been chosen long ago, and others basically had no chance. So even if they were jealous, they could only act behind the scenes; no one dared to openly hurt their relatives.

The reason Lingery dared to come over was because he thought Ian wouldn't do anything to him.

"Puff." Lingery spat out a mouthful of blood mixed with teeth.

Ian's tone was light: "If you're not happy with me, you could just confront me."

Lingery's eyes turned red. "I will tell Grandpa Holden about this."

Grandpa Holden will definitely stand up for him!

"Ian, you're done. You have a thing for a designer. Grandpa Holden's favorite is that ugly girl from the Pennyfeather family. Now you're freaking out over a designer. Wait until he finds out; you'll see how he'll deal with you and your beloved designer! Hahaha, you just wait!"

Lingery's face was swollen from the fall, and he looked ridiculous when he was excited.

Ian squatted down and stepped on Lingery's chest with his shoe without hesitation.

"The Raymond family has a business deal that needs to be handled abroad. I've already booked your flight for tonight. I'll explain the reason to Grandpa Holden myself. You should go abroad and gain some experience. I believe Grandpa Holden will agree. Just stay abroad and don't think about coming back."
