"Mr. Raymond, I'm going to put the hair dryer back."

Ian let her go.

Maja put the hair dryer back in the bathroom and noticed a blister between his fingers when she returned.

Having been sunburned herself, she knew what was up.

Luckily, she had bought some burn ointment when she went to the hospital earlier today.

She smeared a bit of it on her fingertip, took his hand, and gently applied it to his wound.

Ian didn't notice what she was doing until he smelled the cool scent of the ointment.

He looked up at her.

But Maja wasn't looking at him; she was focused on his wound.

After she finished applying the ointment, she wiped the residue off her finger.

Ian asked her,

"Did you come all the way to Crystalbrook Valley just for that dude?"

Maja paused for a moment and sighed.

"I’m here for the cherry wood flooring. I had spoken with Mr. Felton about this before. Today, someone returned some, and I picked out the best-quality batch. I've already had it sent to Greenfield."

Hearing this, Ian felt a little relieved.

"But what about you, Mr. Raymond? Why did you rush over to Crystalbrook Valley in the middle of the night without your assistant?"

"The last project had some issues; I came to talk to the person in charge."

Maja was dubious. Even if there was a problem with the project, the person in charge here shouldn't have made Ian come in the middle of the night for fear of offending him.

But Ian was indeed here.
