The bag was thrown to Maja, but she didn't catch it, and it fell to the ground.

Dana got even more worked up, "Do you know how much this bag of Carlene's is worth? It's a limited edition, worth several hundred thousand dollars, not something you could afford with your salary!"

Maja just smiled at them both, "Ms. Shepard, I'm a designer, not a servant. You can wait at the office if you don't want to come with me."

"You!"

Dana had been put in her place by Maja before, but it seemed she hadn't learned her lesson.

Carlene gracefully picked up the bag from the floor, handing Dana her bag back while scolding her.

"Penny is a top designer hired by Ian; you can't be so rude. Being spoiled at home is fine, but you can't behave this way outside."

After all, she had shown her authority. As long as this designer knew that she would be Mrs. Raymond, there was no need to argue with her.

Dana obeyed Carlene, promptly taking her bag back and nodding in understanding.

"I get it."

Carlene looked at Maja and gave her a slight smile, "She's a bit immature; I’m sorry. Let's go."

Maja didn't say anything. She had thought Carlene was hypocritical before, but at least she was genuinely kind, whereas Dana was just straight-up dumb.

The three of them passed the reception desk; Rita rolled her eyes at Maja but was very enthusiastic when she saw Carlene.

"Ms. Shepard, are you leaving?"

Carlene was very kind in front of others; she smiled politely, "Yes, I'm going to look at Ian's house with the designer."

"Congratulations, we look forward to your next visit to the Raymond Corporation."

Rita's smile grew even brighter, but when she saw Maja, she immediately turned cold. Her face changed so quickly.

Maja didn't bother arguing with her; she walked out of the building and prepared to get into her car.

But when Dana saw Maja's car, she started complaining again, "Your car isn't worth more than 50,000 dollars, is it?"

This was Maja's own car, it wasn't expensive, mainly because she liked the way it drove, and it was her first car, so she was used to it.

She opened the car's front door, prepared to get in, when Carlene took out her car keys and handed them to her.

"I told you, this designer is definitely interested in Ian. She's got many tricks up her sleeve; I’ve been on the losing end with her before."

Carlene's face darkened after getting into the car; she pursed her lips coldly.

"She even followed Ian to a hotel before."

"If you didn't see it with your own eyes, don't spread rumors. If Ian really wanted to find a temporary companion, it could be anyone. Didn't you see how many women were jealous of me when I returned? She's just a designer; she doesn't even have the right to get close to Ian."

Dana pouted, not daring to anger Carlene because she would be the one who suffered in the end.

"I just wanted to remind you, when have you ever seen a designer give a client cufflinks worth over 20,000 dollars?"

Carlene's eyes narrowed slightly; she chuckled, "I'm not unwilling to take action against her; I just don't want you to speak ill of Ian. You know he's an innocent person."

"I'm sorry."

Carlene looked forward, and a sharp look flashed in her eyes.

If this woman didn't know her place and wanted to get close to Ian, she wouldn't be polite anymore.
