Tricia clearly didn't take Neil's words to heart and instead, she spoke with a hint of grievance.

"Mom, I've liked Mr. Raymond for many years now. I believe my sincerity can win him over. He doesn't seem to like Carlene Shepard, otherwise, why haven't they gotten back together after all these years? I think he just hasn't met the one he truly likes. I want to give it a try."
