Maja was all over the place, totally clueless about what he was saying.

Ian had zero patience. When he saw the phone slip out of her hand, he picked it up. But there was a passcode, and he needed her fingerprint to unlock it.

He grabbed Maja's hand, used her fingerprint to unlock the phone, and started scrolling through her contacts.

She had loads of contacts, and this was her work phone. Ian had no idea she had another phone.

After sifting through her contacts, he couldn't find anyone labeled "husband".

His brows drew together in confusion, and he looked puzzled at her.

Her contact list was super organized, with company names listed in front of clients.

He checked but couldn't find any mention of 'husband' anywhere.

However, he saw his own number, labeled as "Mr. Raymond".

He found it refreshingly straightforward.

He was a bit ticked off with no leads whatsoever.

He found it weird. Is a married woman not having her husband's number saved?

He asked Jeff to drive to the hospital. He'd done all he could; the hospital would surely have a way.

Maja behaved herself this time. The last incident hung over her like a bad dream. It was so embarrassing that she'd rather let the blood on her palm dry than get anywhere near Ian voluntarily.

She clenched her hand tightly, biting her lip, her eyes filled with struggle and sweat breaking out on her forehead.

Her body started shaking slightly due to excessive restraint.

Meanwhile, Ian had put down the phone and leaned back, looking quite relaxed.

Even though he'd just sprung into action, his demeanor was still refined.

Maja didn't look at him, only at the hospital that was getting closer. It was the same hospital her father was at.

Maja was afraid to think too much. She was feeling hot just now, but now she felt a bit cold.

Ian also saw the people at the door.

He didn't have a good impression of that woman, and seeing Neil now, he didn't feel anything at all, let alone greeting him.

"You can go now."

He urged Maja, but seeing Maja's back straight, her eyes fixed on those people.

"Do you know them?"

Ian's tone was indifferent. Seeing her regain some clarity, he breathed a sigh of relief.

Maja wanted to say she didn't know them but realized that would be a lie. If she said it, she would have to make up countless lies to maintain it, so she chose to ignore it.

She definitely couldn't get out now. Otherwise, she would face those people, making both sides feel awkward.
