Chapter 2064: Consuming the Primordial Phoenix’s Blood Essence

Yuan looked at the Hell Molten Eel and shrugged, "No clue, but I’ll think of something."

He then tossed the entire thing inside his spatial ring.

"Alright, now that things are peaceful and quiet, let’s head to my Immortal Cave," Feng Yuxiang said a moment later.

Yuan nodded and followed her to a massive volcano that rivaled the Dragon Spiral Mountain in size, located just a few hundred miles from where they had found the Hell Molten Eel.

The temperature in this area was nearly unbearable for anyone lacking at least Supreme Fire Resistance. The volcano would also constantly erupt with lava, sending showers of molten rock and scorching debris that could easily kill any cultivator who wasn’t an Immortal.

Some time later, Feng Yuxiang came to a stop above the volcano and said, "My Immortal Cave is just inside."

When Yuan looked down into the massive crater, he saw a seething world of flames within, greatly resembling that of the Nine Levels of Hell from the Primal Expanse.

Of course, it wasn’t nearly as intensive and dangerous as the training ground from the Primal Expanse, and he followed Feng Yuxiang inside without any hesitation.

After descending to about halfway down the mountain, stopping just above the roiling sea of lava, they finally reached their destination.

"So, where’s the Immortal Cave?" Yuan asked aloud, glancing around but seeing nothing that even remotely resembled a cave.

"Give me a moment to bring it out," said Feng Yuxiang.

Then, she retrieved an object from her spatial ring and pointed it toward the lava below.

The volcano began to tremble almost immediately, and Yuan watched as something slowly rose from the molten depths. When it fully emerged, it revealed a massive cave entrance with a path that appeared to descend beneath the lava’s surface.

"Let’s go, Young Master. We’re almost there," Feng Yuxiang said, speaking calmly as she stepped into the cave entrance without hesitation.

Yuan followed her into the darkness. However, after just a few steps, the scenery suddenly brightened, and he found himself in an entirely different place. The volcano and its blistering heat were gone, replaced by a cool forest filled with the fresh scent of greenery. Dense trees surrounded them, and not far away stood a massive tree, towering a hundred times larger than the rest, like some ancient, grand sentinel at the heart of the forest.

"This is your Immortal Cave?" Yuan muttered, raising an eyebrow.

Her ’cave’ was, in truth, an entire world of its own, much like Senior Bai’s realm within the Myriad of Techniques.

Feng Yuxiang smiled and asked teasingly, "Did you think it would be an actual cave? Maybe something like that would satisfy human cultivators, but for me, it has to be something like this."

Yuan glanced at the massive tree and remarked, "Honestly, this scenery doesn’t really match a phoenix’s image. After all, fire and nature don’t exactly mix well." 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

"Maybe not an ordinary forest, where the trees would burn to ash at the slightest spark. But this place is different," she said with a smile. "Even if you tried to set the entire forest ablaze, nothing would happen."

"Anyway, you can consume the blood essence here without worrying about being disturbed. I’ll also keep guard from the outside just in case," she continued.

However, before Yuan could even process what was happening, his entire body was suddenly engulfed in flames—invisible flames that couldn’t be seen with the naked eye.

This invisible flame was so fierce and potent that it tore straight through his fire resistance, flooding his body with an indescribable pain.

The pain was nearly unbearable for Yuan, so intense that he found himself howling in agony during those first few moments.

"H-Hang in there, Yuan!" Lan Yingying cheered him from within his Dantian, but Yuan was in too much pain to even hear her voice.

Yet, the strength and heat of the invisible flames only grew with each passing moment. The space around Yuan warped under the searing force, the distortion spreading wider as the heat intensified.

His body was constantly being burned and torn apart, yet his regeneration kept pace so perfectly that it seemed as if no damage was being done at all.

Soon, the flames began to burn not only his body, but his very soul as well, and the only thing keeping his existence from being burned away was Heaven’s Undying Soul.
