Sofia experienced excruciating pain, as if her heart and soul were being torn apart. While listening to Keysha's words, she couldn't help but inwardly sneer, despite feeling helpless. Life had to move forward.
Skyler's actions had pushed her to the brink of despair, but Keysha had a valid point... Skyler didn't have a heart of stone. Sofia believed that if she was sincere and kind enough, she could surely change his mind.

On the eighth day of the New Year, Veronica returned to the film crew. As soon as she arrived, she bumped into Melvin.
"It's been a while, how have you been?" She approached Melvin, her tone particularly gentle.
Veronica believed that the death of Melvin's girlfriend, Selene, had deeply affected him, which explained why he hadn't been responding to her messages lately.
Melvin, wearing a gray casual jacket, forced a smile when he saw Veronica. "Happy New Year. I'm sorry for not replying to your messages recently."
"I understand." Veronica nodded. "My condolences, but life must go on. You're stronger than I thought."
"We always have to look ahead." Melvin shrugged, taking a deep breath. "For Selene, death is a release."
"That's a positive way to look at it." Veronica sighed, then said, "Work hard, and I'll treat you to sushi after work tonight."
"Okay, sounds good." He nodded.
Veronica pointed towards the makeup room. "I'm going there." After saying that, she headed towards the makeup room.
Veronica looked at the potted plant on the table, raised her eyebrows slightly, moved the chair, and sat down. She leaned over to examine the green plant, gently touching the leaves with her hand. "No one's going to give free gifts all of a sudden for no reason, so..."
She didn't finish her sentence, but Mia understood what she meant. "Don't overthink it. I really just brought you a potted plant." Mia hurriedly explained.
But even after explaining, Veronica kept her head down, engrossed in the plant, ignoring her.
Mia anxiously stood by, her hands nervously clenched together. The confident air she once had was nowhere to be seen.
After hesitating for a long time, she finally gathered the courage to speak. "Actually, Sean told me everything. I know I... I misunderstood you before. But it really wasn't me who caused you to fall into the water that day. I did hate you at that time, but I didn't want to harm you. Everything I said was true."
She stuttered through her explanation but still received no response from Veronica.
