"Let me take a good look at what peculiar ideas you've got hidden in your little head."
Miley propped herself up against Robert's chest, her face flushed with shyness. "It won't be that easy for you to see it all, Mr. Fitzgerald. I have some serious matters to discuss."
Robert let go of Miley, but not before giving her bottom a playful pat. "Since I'm in a good mood, go ahead and tell me."
Miley waved Marguerite's broken phone in front of him. "My bestie's phone is broken and she wants to recover her photos. Can you think of a solution?"
If she didn't mention it, he had almost forgotten the purpose of his visit.
He glanced at the phone screen, his heart filled with delight.
A woman's phone holds her biggest secrets, and he wanted to investigate Miley's bestie. This was undoubtedly the perfect opportunity!
Robert fetched a bottle of soda from the refrigerator, took a few gulps, and then deliberately said, "I suspect you're sleeping with me just for your bestie. First, it was to recover photos, now it's to fix a phone. What will you want me to do next?"
Miley pouted and leaned into his arms, looking charmingly coy. "Next time... what do you think? What do you want me to do?"
Dammit!
Was this woman trying to seduce him with her cuteness?
If it weren't for Frederick calling him back to the office, he would have lost control yet again.
He plucked the broken phone from Miley's hand, leaned in and whispered in her ear, "What do I want you to do? I'd love to die in your arms, honey."
With that, he smirked, gave her cheek a playful pinch, then reluctantly headed towards the door. "Give me a couple of days. No rush."
---
In the afternoon, at the Winston Group.
After leaving Miley's apartment, Marguerite returned to the mansion. She had not been together with her grandmother for days due to work.
So, she went back to have lunch with her.
However, when she returned to the office after the meal, she found the company in chaos.
Employees were running around anxiously with documents, their frantic voices filled with urgency.
"Neal, get in touch with the PR company ASAP!"
At that moment, Frederick was holding a cigarette between his distinctly knuckled fingers, the ashtray on the coffee table almost overflowing with cigarette butts.
Marguerite knew whether this man smokes has nothing to do with her, yet she couldn't help herself. She walked over, took the cigarette from his fingers and said, "Stop smoking."
Frederick lifted his long, narrow eyes, a cold light flashing, but he remained silent.
Marguerite heaved a deep sigh, "I'm sorry, I was still a step late."
The man avoided her gaze, his tone as indifferent as ever, "It has nothing to do with you."
No sooner had he finished speaking than Marguerite heard a reporter interviewing Garnett on the TV.
"Mr. Garnett, as far as I know, you've had a deep and friendly relationship with LuxeScents International for many years and even signed a ten-year contract with them. But why did you terminate your partnership with them and choose Fragrance Finesse instead?"
Marguerite turned to look at the screen, only to see Garnett looking visibly disappointed, his moral integrity on full display.
"Ah, LuxeScents International was indeed my strategic partner. You could say that half of Grandeur Square Mall's customers were brought in by LuxeScents International.
However, I only found out a few days ago. The CEO of LuxeScents International, Mr. Winston, has lost his sense of smell! As the CEO of a perfume company, if he's lost his sense of smell, can the perfumes they produce be liked by customers?"
