Half an hour later, at Sapphire Valley Estates.
As Marguerite arrived at the mansion's entrance, the enormous double copper doors swung open.
The first thing she saw was Yuna, hauling a plethora of luggage out of the house, while Sadie was pushing Laverne, seated in a wheelchair, towards the exit.
Marguerite's eyes narrowed, her gaze inadvertently falling upon Laverine's legs, covered in a thin blanket. She rushed over like a madwoman, and throwing herself at Laverine's side, pleaded, "Gran, what happened to your legs? Are you hurt? Let me see!"
As Marguerite began to knead Laverne's knees, Laverne started to feel ticklish all over. Afraid of revealing anything, she quickly stopped Marguerite, "Relax, it's just an old ailment."
"An old ailment?" Marguerite was utterly confused.
Sadie turned to Marguerite, "Madam, when Ma'am was young, she worked on a farm in the countryside, wading through muddy fields, which left a lasting effect on her legs."
Marguerite was left even more perplexed.
Worked on a farm? Waded through muddy fields?
Why was she hearing about this for the first time?
She had lived with her grandmother in Marina Shores Village since she was a child. The villagers there made a living from fishing, not farming!
Marguerite was left scratching her head, not noticing the pair of enraged eyes glaring at her from behind.
Yuna was going crazy.
Seeing Marguerite storm into the mansion left her dumbfounded!
This woman had been kicked out of the mansion, how could she have the audacity to show her face here again?
Didn't she know how much Freddie hated her?
In a fit of rage, Yuna dropped her luggage, stormed over to Marguerite, and grabbing her by the collar, was about to slap her. But just as she raised her hand, a strong force grabbed her arm from behind.
Taken aback, Yuna turned around to see Frederick.
Frederick called her back?
What was going on?
Before she returned to the mansion, Frederick had made it clear that it was her grandmother who asked her to come back!
Why were their stories conflicting?
Marguerite was hesitant, but Yuna was visibly hurt.
She couldn't believe that Marguerite was called back by Freddie!
No wonder he asked her to move out yesterday, he was making room for Marguerite!
How could Yuna stand this? She had worked so hard to get Marguerite kicked out of the mansion, there was no way she was letting Marguerite come back!
Yuna picked herself up from the ground, ran over to Laverine, and began to whine, "Gran, I'm your real granddaughter. How can you trust an outsider over me? Don't you believe I can take care of you?"
