Bride Behind the Mask novel Chapter 143

Upon hearing this news, Lily's eyes popped wide open, and then she burst out laughing.

"Margery, you're such a cutie! What you're talking about is what hookers do. We don't have any of those here, so you can relax. You're just a saleswoman, at most you'll have to drink a couple of shots with the customers! Don't worry."

With that assurance from Lily, Marguerite finally felt relieved.

Before leaving, Lily gave Marguerite a drink sales chart to memorize.

Marguerite went back to her apartment and reviewed the chart all night, only taking a break when dawn was about to break.

By the time she woke up, it was already 7 PM. Marguerite crawled out of bed, put on Miley's tiny dress, and hurriedly left the room.

At that moment, Miley was on the couch with her laptop, a birthday cake sitting on the table.

She asked, "Where are you going? Today's your birthday, and you've slept all day! Shouldn't you be celebrating your birthday tonight?"

Marguerite sighed deeply, "Miley, I need to work."

"You're going to work this late? Can't you ask your boss for a day off? It's your birthday!" Miley stood up from the couch.

"It's not appropriate to ask for a day off on my first day at work. I'll have the cake when I get back. Thanks, Miley, you're the only one who remembered my birthday."

Miley playfully slapped Marguerite's butt, "Marguerite, stop saying thank you to me!"

Marguerite replied with a smile, then at the entrance she put on a pair of Miley's beige flats, "I'm just saying! I'm in a rush, gotta go!"

After bidding Miley goodbye, Marguerite quickly arrived at The Drunken Donkey.

With ten minutes left till eight, she went to the staff room to change. Lily walked towards her.

"Margery, there are some rich young men coming in tonight, try to avoid them for your first time being a saleswoman. These guys are notoriously difficult to serve."

Marguerite nodded, "Got it."

As the crowd's cheers grew louder, more customers were drawn in.

"Margery! Give me another ten boxes of Corona!"

"Margery, I want to buy ten bottles of Jagermeister. How much commission can you get?"

Not far from the bar.

The gaze of a wealthy young man landed on Marguerite, he couldn't help but tug at the sleeve of the man next to him, "Mr. Fitzgerald, what do you think of this girl? Do you like her? Are you taking her home tonight?"

"I've said it before, I'm not interested in this sort of thing..." Robert Fitzgerald seemed somewhat agitated, he looked in the direction the man was pointing, and his words suddenly stopped.

Yuna? How could it be her!!

Without any hesitation, he quickly took out his phone and sneakily took a picture of the familiar woman in the distance, then sent it directly to Frederick.
