Breaking Free, Loving Again -The Flash Marriage with Mr. CEO novel Chapter 712

Chapter 712: One last chance.

Selene frowned when Arwen’s words like that unsettled her. Even though she tried to maintain her calm facade, a crack appeared in her expression.

"Accepting this as the journey from the lady of the house to a mere simple guest must not be easy, isn’t it?" Selene mocked as she twisted the meaning behind Arwen’s words as per her convenience.

However, Arwen simply shrugged. "I don’t think so. After all, delusions are not so hard to create. It just takes one’s own wilful thoughts."

The frown between Selene’s brows only deepened. "What are you talking about?" she asked, her fingers clenching into fists.

"Of course, you! I am talking about you," Arwen jutted her chin out towards her. "Who else do you think?"

"Arwen!"

"Ms. Martin," Arwen cut in smoothly, her tone sharp yet calm. "Delusions are hard to cure, I know. But they are definitely not hard to recognize. You just have to open your eyes and look around ... then you will know."

Selene’s gaze sharpened, her eyes burning with hostility. But no matter how venomous her stare became, it didn’t make Arwen flinch.

Instead, she stared at her, meeting her gaze evenly.

Just then, Carla’s eyes narrowed at the luggage. She shifted closer to Selene and whispered with a wary tone.

"Ms. Selene ... those luggage bags ... they seem to be yours."

Selene’s head snapped towards the old nanny, only to see her fidgeting.

"Those trolley bags look like yours, Ms. Selene," Carla repeated nervously, urging her to confirm herself if she didn’t believe it.

"How could that be possible?" Selene scoffed, ready to deny.

However, once again, Arwen’s voice cut in —smooth and even, like a blade sliding through silk.

"It’s very much possible, Ms. Martin", she said, letting her lips curl up at the corner —quite evidently. "Because they are truly yours."

At her signal, the maids moved swiftly, wheeling the luggage and placing it directly beside Selene.

Aiden, who had been silent all along, paused. His gaze never strayed from Arwen. Something about her today struck him —familiar, yet startlingly different.

Selene’s face twisted. "Arwen, what is the meaning of all this? You went to pack your things. Then, why did you bring my luggage down?"

"Wait!" Arwen raised her finger in a gesture to halt her. Her brows furrowed with confusion, as though genuinely confused. "When did I say that I am going to pack my things. If I had to pack my things, I would have gone to my room. But —" she tilted her head towards the maids, "did I?"

The maids, well-trained in reading her tone, shook their heads in unison.

"No, Madam didn’t go to her room."
