Chapter 1274
What was going on?
Didn’t people go into projects to make money anymore?
Or was Daniel actually some kind of philanthropist?
These questions circled in Aurora’s mind and wouldn’t go away.
Seeing her still sitting there without making a move, Megan began to grow anxious.
She spoke up directly. “Aurora, what are you waiting for? Mr. Lewis is still waiting.”
Megan’s words snapped Aurora out of her daze. She realized she had drifted off.
Looking down at the contract again, still in disbelief, she asked, “Mr. Lewis, are you sure you want to give me terms like this?”
“What’s wrong? Is there a problem with the contract?”
Daniel’s heart skipped at her words, a flicker of worry flashing across his face. He had already offered concessions–was Aurora still dissatisfied?
Noticing his misunderstanding, Aurora quickly explained, “I only meant, won’t you lose money this way?”
“There’s no need to worry about that, Miss Walton.”
Daniel’s smile returned. “If I dared to draft a contract like this, of course I have my reasons. I want a long–term partnership with you–that’s how we both maximize our gains.”
Hearing this, Aurora finally relaxed.
It seemed he truly valued her skills and had no hidden agenda. That reassured her.
After all, Daniel’s reputation in the industry wasn’t exactly spotless.
She had half–suspected he might have certain questionable hobbies, but as long as it didn’t affect business, she
could overlook it.
Still, she hadn’t expected him to make such generous concessions in their deal. It left her no choice but to doubt his motives.
