Atticus's Odyssey: Reincarnated Into A Playground novel Chapter 1362

Chapter 1362: Streaks

Atticus was in a weird state of mind.

Scenes he had never seen before had just played in his mind.

’Solvath.’

The name evoked a power he couldn’t explain in him. Like the roar of an ancient beast that just awoke.

Atticus first heard the name during his first meeting with Elderish. He had found out about the makings of the world, the betrayal that led to the formation of Solvath’s fragments. Of the kin of the fallen star.

But back then, the name had felt like a distant memory, one that was unreachable. But now, as he evoked the name, Atticus felt a rush, then a sudden connection the likes of which he had never felt before.

As he continued to clash with his opponent, Atticus watched, eyes wide, as his crimson will began to shift, changing color from blood red to blinding purple.

Instantly, Atticus felt an inexplicable connection to the world, like he was being watched by eternity. As though life itself acknowledged him.

He felt a burning sensation across the back of his arm, and when he glanced over, he saw a blazing sigil trace itself across his skin.

’I’m awakening.’ It took Atticus a moment to realize this, but he couldn’t be blamed.

The amount of things he was currently feeling was hard to explain. But the change wasn’t over. Atticus felt a flood of warmth surge through his body.

He looked to see his veins pulsing with a faint purple hue.

’I awakened the mark of Solvath.’

The thought came with a sudden burst of shock. He remembered the words of the Great Verge.

’The fastest way to awaken was to clash with another marked.’

It could only mean one thing...

"You’re a marked."

"You’re a marked."

They both spoke at the same time, their voices filled with shock.

It was at that moment the present came crashing down on Atticus. He felt the tears streaking down his cheeks.

His emotions were raging, he was crying. Every scene he had witnessed, were they true?

Atticus gritted his teeth and forced his mind to focus. There would be time for that later.

’I have to win this game.’

Their wills were still clashing, and so far, none of them had been pushed back. But time wasn’t on Atticus’ side.

’The energy in the will stones is running out.’

Atticus had placed more than half of the will stones he had just to be able to last this long at full power.

’It’s only been less than a second, but it did the trick.’

Regardless, more than half of that had been drained already. He had no more time to waste.

’I have to end this.’

Atticus clenched his fist hard and roared. The world seemed to roar with him.

He felt a wave of energy surge into his body. His will expanded, swelling like a balloon about to burst.

And in a shocking turn of events, Atticus saw his will push back against the yellow will of his opponent.

’I’m winning.’

Though he felt this, he felt no sense of joy or achievement. Instead, Atticus felt a weird sense of supremacy hit him, one he couldn’t explain. Like he was above all.

’Like I’m a god.’

But this wasn’t contained to his world. No. Atticus felt like he was above it all, like he stood at the pinnacle of the entire universe.

With this feeling came an overwhelming confidence. Atticus felt his will strengthen, hardening until it was harder than any steel. He began to push back his opponent with even more force.

Atticus’ golden crimson eyes took on a purple hue, and the world around him changed. He saw through the shroud of darkness he hadn’t been able to figure out even with Ozeroth’s Pride Eyes.
