When he was done, Whisker, as expected, burst into laughter, Ozeroth was even more enraged, and the Eldorians were... baffled.
"I never thought I’d see the day my son would get bullied," Avalon muttered under his breath. Magnus, hovering beside him, nodded.
His expression stayed impassive, but those who knew him could tell he was shocked as well.
But no one was more shocked than Oberon. Atticus had reached a divine level in his mind. To think even he could be affected by such mundane things... but the shock only lasted a moment. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
A shudder ran through him at the thought. If that had happened to Atticus, it meant retaliation was coming.
’He killed someone already,’ he thought, clearing his throat. Of course, his case was different.
"Man, it’s so hilarious." Whisker finally stopped laughing, patting Atticus on the shoulder. "Now I regret not following you to school, my star actor. How did I forget how much of a walking entertainment you are?"
Atticus sighed and glanced towards the fleet. "You’re right about one thing, it is cliché."
He had hoped he could deal with the viscount and end this useless feud, but his brother had come instead.
"Imagine the viscount has a harem," Whisker joked. Atticus winced.
"C’mon! It’ll be so fun to deal with an army of vengeful brothers!"
"I really hope not..."
Atticus suddenly caught sight of someone leaving the fleet and approaching their planet.
The man bore a certain resemblance to the god he’d killed earlier, both with distinct blazing hair, eyes of the Redflame, a slender physique, and a well trimmed goatee.
The god stopped just a few meters from their world, blazing eyes fixed downward.
Atticus knew from what he’d read in the Willhall that a god could not access another god’s world without permission. It wasn’t just about entry, they couldn’t even see into the world.
Atticus could see him, but this god could not.
"Atticus Ravenstein!" the god’s voice exploded like a cracking inferno across the skies.
"I know you can hear me, coward! Do you think you can scurry back to your little rat’s nest and hide behind your pathetic brood?!
"You killed my brother using some unruly methods and think yourself a god? You’re nothing more than a cheater, a pretender!
"And this pathetic excuse for a world is no different! Hah! What a joke. All I see are mongrels cowering behind a fool who hides when true gods call him out.
"The middle planes is too good for trash like you! Even your pathetic ancestors would deny your disgraceful existence! Atticus Ravenstein! Come out and face me, coward! Or will you keep trembling in the dark while I, a true god, challenge you?"
"Ahhhhh!!!!" Ozeroth’s body became blinding, and an intense golden light flooded the space. The Eldorians had to hold him back from tearing into space and putting this bastard in his place.
"Let me have him! Let me have that bastard!"
Whisker laughed. "Damn, you’ve gotta give it to him though, he has a sharp mouth."
Atticus only sighed. He had come here hoping for a more peaceful time than what he’d experienced at the Willhall, only to face this.
"Let’s get this over with," Atticus said coldly.
"Oh, there’s no way I’m missing this. Y’all have fun holding him down." Whisker waved to the Eldorians and moved to stand beside Atticus.
