'My bodily stats changed significantly.'
It had to be remembered that gaining a single point after breaking past the 1k cap wasn't the same as gaining a point before.
The difference was like comparing a golf cart to a large truck. Moving them required more effort. Their weight was different. Their impact, leagues apart.
But Atticus hadn't trained. Not really. He had been fighting nonstop, yet his body stats had still seen a significant boost.
'Thinking about it… it makes sense.'
He had constantly pushed himself to the limit during those fights. The odd thing would've been if nothing had changed.
Still, his gaze eventually landed on his Will stat.
'That's a lot.'
His Will had nearly doubled. It felt like he had crammed nineteen years of effort into just one month.
Atticus had been through hell these past weeks. His mind had been pushed to the edge, his sanity stretched thin.
His family had been in danger, chaos was erupting around him, and powerhouses were emerging from all corners. Every event had contributed to the massive increase in his Will. But he knew that wasn't the sole reason behind the leap.
He had a strong suspicion.
Two things came to mind. The first, and most likely, was that he had awakened his true Will. He had discovered who he really was. He had stopped hiding behind masks. Stopped suppressing his darkness. He had embraced every part of himself.
That level of self awareness and acceptance had propelled his Will to new heights. And now, Atticus had finally understood what the numbers of his Will were based on.
'Quality.'
It wasn't just about size or reach. It was about depth. Potency. Sturdiness. Effectiveness.
During his battles with the Gardener, and even the Twins of Bloom and Blight, he had felt it. Their Will dwarfed his in size.
But because of the segment star's restrictions, their sheer scale had been nullified. And what remained was quality. Potency. In that, Atticus had them matched, and because of it, he'd clashed with them, held his own… and ultimately won.
Things would have been different in the Midplanes, no doubt. There, they would have the full force of their Will, both quantity and quality. But they couldn't complain about that now. They'd been foolish enough to challenge him.
After reflecting on that, Atticus' eyes finally drifted to his level, or more accurately, his core rank.
'I ranked up.'
It went without saying, his core rank didn't accurately reflect his true power. It simply measured how much mana his core could contain and how much his body could process. That was the problem, it only accounted for mana.
But Atticus had other sources of strength. Like the spiritual energy nestled within the spiritual well in his mind.
At this point, that spiritual energy alone enhanced his power to terrifying levels. And with both it and his mana flowing in tandem, his strength far outstripped the Paragon rank his core level currently showed.
And this wasn't including the small fact that he still had the fusion with Ozeroth and Noctis. This rank didn't do justice to what he was truly capable of.
Still… at the very least, his mana core had grown stronger. That much was clear.
