Bai Meiyue ground her teeth. She hated Bai Xue, and she disliked Fu Wan as well. It was one thing that she was relying on her man, but it was a completely different thing that the woman was making a fuss on someone else’s turf. No matter how big of a big shot her husband was, this was too much.
What was more, Bai Meiyue just disdained Fu Wan, and naturally, she had no good feelings toward this young master Bai either. If he could marry a woman like this, then he must be one of those muddleheaded men who let women like these wrap them around their finger.
She didn’t have any desire to entangle herself with that man.
And to make things worse, Fu Wan seemed like a crybaby. Who knows who taught her that crying would get her anything that she wanted, but Fu Wan seemed to have learnt that lesson by heart. Her crying and fussing were making her head hurt. It was as if the woman was sobbing in a funeral hall, and it didn’t feel good.
"Who are you crying for so loudly?" Old Master Bai snapped as he walked inside the main hall. He looked at Fu Wan and frowned angrily. "I am still alive. Who do you think you are crying for like this? Wait for the day I die before you start crying like this."
Fu Wan, however, cried only louder. She looked at Old Master Bai as if she had been subjected to inhuman treatment and said to him, "Grandfather...wuuu... It’s really scary here. I didn’t... I didn’t even say anything, and she... she got angry at me. I want Brother to pick me up... ask him to come and take me away...grandfather."
She seemed to be made of water. When she came to demand that this place be handed over to her, Fu Wan thought that Bai Meiyue would certainly fear the Bai family and hand it over to her. But she realised that Bai Meiyue was really crazy. She actually dared to turn her nose up at her, who was the daughter-in-law of the Bai family. Now she could no longer hold on and started crying, her eyes red like a rabbit’s, staring at Bai Meiyue as if she had committed some atrocities against her.
"Shut up! Do you think that I don’t know what kind of person you are?" sneered Old Master Bai. "I know you, and I know Yueyue as well. You must have done something to make her angry, or else she would have never said such a thing. Do you think that I am a fool?"
Fu Wan turned silent. She was now standing behind the bodyguards while shivering the whole time, like she had been wronged. Her expression was fearful as she stared at Old Master Bai.
