Bai Feng had no idea how it happened. But all the supplies that were stored in the base’s warehouse were stolen; it was as if they were magicked away. But the thing was that no one saw anyone entering the warehouse. Even the guards were stupefied, as they didn’t understand who attacked them.

Bai Meiyue was well aware of what was going on in Bai Feng’s head. She suppressed the twitch of her lips and solemnly said, "No. We are also trying to establish a base for ourselves. We don’t have enough time to go out and hunt for supplies. As we left in a hurry, we too left a lot of things behind and need to rearrange everything."

It’s nothing less than taking a risk that can make us lose our lives."

Bai Feng frowned and turned to look at Bai Meiyue, who simply shrugged. "Doctor Cui created a medicine that can deal with the poison. If you don’t trust me, then it’s fine; anyway, the mutated meat is the only thing that I have at the moment. Or you can go to the penthouse where I lived and see if there is anything left." Of course, nothing was left behind, as she had cleaned every corner and nook, but Bai Meiyue had no qualms about lying.

Bai Feng pursed his lips. He raised his head and glanced at the shelter where the mutated animals were dozing off after eating their feed. He knew that Bai Meiyue was a lot of things, but she would never lie about things when it came to the lives of others, which meant that she was speaking the truth.

"Fine."

"Leader!" the soldier protested, but Bai Feng raised his head and snapped, "Shut up, if you have any other offer, then you might as well tell me. Do you?"
