After Surviving the Apocalypse, I Built a City in Another World novel Chapter 1507

Chapter 1507: In Between Terran Villages (Part 2)

Meanwhile, life in Diana Village was going on as usual—difficult, especially for the slaves.

Diana Village was defeated very early on by a territory called Lopi Village, which was also a subsidiary of Voumi Town.

A village taken over and treated as a mining resource was just as one would expect: It was dire, sad, and pitiful.

Not that Lopi Village cared at all, of course.

That said, the Lord of Lopi Village, Lupus, was visiting to check the products. They got word from the master territory that they needed more slaves, and he was wondering how many to sell.

It was only because a village needed some life to sustain it that they hadn’t just gone out and sold everyone. It was also unwise to spread out too fast and sell everything.

While there was a risk of the price lowering due to their number, the steward believed it’d still be a better decision than to rush disposal at this point—especially when there was Voumi Town which was a sure client.

Voumi Town bought a lot of their products for cheap at the start, and did not tell them they were elementalists! At first, he thought Voumi was just lacking people or wanted people from the alien race for novelty.

Now, he knew what he had missed. It was only during the third sale that the Lord of Lopi town wondered what was with these people and decided to check the panels.

They were elementalists!!

Hence, he knew that while Voumi’s mass buying was tempting, it was still better to watch the market grow! He was hoping to get bigger clients for maximum profit.

Just how big did he lose during the first two transactions? Just the thought of it made his stomach turn acidic in regret. And he was determined to sell for a good price this time.

Lopus looked at the thousands still in the territory. Now, they had just won another war against another Terran territory and received thousands of new ones again.

This Lord was determined to make the most out of his money!

Maybe even sell to a City!

Sadly, that was something impossible for a villager. They struggled even going to a Town. Every time he went there, he’d lose a few people.

Hopefully, he’d get the ticket to join in the next auction. No villages were invited there, especially not the ’sources’ of the products, but he believed he’d find a way!

For now, he’d have to sell a few to Voumi, and if they were satisfactory, he would open up his entry to the auction. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶

"Move it!" Lopus yelled, yelling at the slaves to line up faster. "How many do we have?" he asked his right-hand man, who answered quite quickly.

"2803, Milord."

"These could be sold for at least 50 gold each in a Town! How much is that?"

"A lot, Milord."

"It is indeed a lot!" Lopi smirked, greedily rubbing his palms together. "To think Voumi bought them for a few gold back then! Regrets!"

"Imagine if we had sold them to a City, instead."

They’d have made 3 to 4 times more!

"Assuming we all arrived there, Milord," his right-hand man said, as helpful as always.

"Tsk."

Still, just thinking of how much they could sell these made him so irksome!

"We’re Voumi’s subsidiary, if we sell them there, they’d definitely still buy them for cheap and we can’t do anything about it!" Lopus gritted his teeth. "How can we find another rich territory?"

"That is for healthy elementalists Levels 10-15, as bought by a Town," the robed man said. "Are you trying to scam me?"
