She had slipped into something sexy. Jordan recognized the outfit right away. He’d bought it for her, hoping to add a little spark to their marriage. He remembered how he’d picked it out, imagining her wearing it just for him, just in their room. Every time she put it on, the way her curves peeked through the thin fabric, he couldn’t help but get excited.

But now, all he saw on the security feed was Natalie sneaking out in the middle of the night. He had no idea where she was going, but after what Ethan had said, Jordan started to put the pieces together. Was she really going to see Ethan?

Jordan and Natalie, on the other hand, were both a little reckless, maybe even a little spiteful.

Sometimes, Jordan wondered if Natalie had married him just to get back at Ethan, to make sure Ethan lost his chance for good. And now, was she starting to regret it?

Jordan grabbed his phone and made a call. He didn’t even think about who he was dialing. He just needed answers. “Do me a favor,” he said quietly, “Ask around Ethan’s neighborhood. See if anybody noticed anything weird at his place last night. Or heard something strange. Try to talk to his staff too. Find out if anyone came by in the middle of the night.”

He needed to know the truth. Had Natalie really cheated on him? No, that couldn’t be. He tried to calm himself down, repeating that Ethan would never do anything like that behind his back. If Ethan had, he wouldn’t have come to see Jordan today, wouldn’t have said all those odd things. Still, Jordan had to be sure.
