After I Stopped Loving Him novel Chapter 721

“Think of it like Isabella just borrowing Ethan’s bodyguards for a while. You can’t really trust outside hires, you know? What if someone pretending to be a guard tried to get close to her? That’d be even more dangerous.”

So, bringing in new bodyguards for Isabella was definitely out of the question.

Ethan’s guys had been with the Adams family for years. They were loyal, reliable, and had been around since before Ethan and Isabella even got married. There was no way anyone could’ve set them up in advance.

“Harold’s already arranged for his own people to keep an eye on her, too. After what happened last night, he was freaked out and honestly, he felt really guilty. He never thought Ethan would swoop in and snatch up the house next door before he could.”

Harold did have a house in that same gated community, and he went back there every day. Still, it was a bit of a distance from Isabella’s place.

If anything went down, like it did last night, even if Harold rushed over as fast as he could, he’d still be a few minutes behind. He just couldn’t make it there as quickly as Ethan.

Laura went quiet for a second. Then she said, “Watching Ethan chase after Isabella so hard now, I honestly don’t even know what to say. If he’d just given her a little genuine love back then, things wouldn’t be like this.”

“If he couldn’t give her his heart, he shouldn’t have messed with Isabella in the first place. He should’ve just stayed loyal to his Natalie and I might’ve even respected him for that. But no… I really thought Isabella had found her happy ending. Turns out, it was just a trap.”

“After everything, Isabella finally managed to climb out of that mess. There’s no way she’d ever go back.”

Ethan didn’t stand a chance.

Even if Isabella didn’t pick Harold, she definitely wasn’t going to choose Ethan again.

“Natalie went out by herself today. I had someone tail her, but she gave them the slip. We completely lost her.”

Jesse’s face got serious. “Whoever wants Isabella dead this time… it feels like there’s something more going on. It’s not just Natalie.”
