After I Stopped Loving Him novel Chapter 719

He glared at Harold, eyes full of fire.

“Tit for tat,” Harold said, his tone smug.

Ethan’s face clouded with annoyance.

“Alright, both of you, out. I don’t need help from either of you.” Isabella stepped in fast, worried they’d start throwing punches. She ushered both men out of the coffee shop and told them firmly, “Stay out until the cleaning is done. You’re not coming in before that.”

She closed the glass door behind them with a click.

“Isabella, this is Harold’s fault. He took the flowers I gave you,” Ethan protested through the glass.

“You stomped on my bouquet first. I was just returning the favor. Ethan, you’re really petty,” Harold shot back, refusing to back down.

Now that they were rivals, neither cared about old friendships anymore. It was all about who would win her heart in the end.

Isabella pretended not to hear their arguing. She went back behind the counter and picked up the cup of chrysanthemum tea Laura had made for her. After a few sips, she sighed, “My head finally stopped hurting, but now it’s back again.”

Laura grinned. “You’re popular now. Just let them fight it out. Sit back and watch the show.”

Isabella didn’t reply. She set her cup down and started tidying up the counter while Laura worked on the day’s accounts.

Once the last table was wiped clean, the waiter was free to leave. The bookstore next door stayed open until eleven, and there were still quite a few students browsing the shelves or doing research.

At night, there weren’t many customers for coffee, so the shop always closed an hour earlier.

Isabella went over to the bookstore, gave the manager a few last-minute instructions, and then headed back to the coffee shop.

“Did you get the accounts to balance? No issues?” she asked Laura.
