“Did Natalie ever stop to think about Isabella? This wasn’t just about making her look bad, she was out to ruin her.”
“Jordan, we’re adults here. We all have to own up to what we do. Natalie messed up, and she deserves the consequences. I’m not even defending Sophia. Whatever punishment she gets, she has to take it.”
Isabella was just giving them a taste of their own medicine. If Natalie hadn’t started it, Isabella wouldn’t have called the reporters to the hospital. You can’t really blame her for fighting back.
Jordan couldn’t get a word out. He stared at Ethan, almost in disbelief. If he hadn’t heard it himself, he’d never believe Ethan was the one saying all this. Ethan had always spoiled Natalie, always did whatever she wanted. No matter how badly she messed up, he’d just let it go.
Now, Natalie’s reputation was wrecked and she was being held by the police, and Ethan did nothing. He just stood there, saying Natalie should be punished for what she did.
“Ethan, do you even hear yourself?”
“I’m not drunk, I’m not sick. I know exactly what I’m saying,” Ethan said. “Isabella didn’t drink that coffee, but that doesn’t change the fact that Natalie told Sophia to drug her.”
“But you’re the one who ended up drinking it. Can’t you just let this go? We all grew up together. Natalie’s always been our little sister. Are you really just going to let her stay locked up?”
Ethan’s voice stayed steady. “It doesn’t matter who drank it. Natalie still tried to hurt someone. If she gets away with this, what’s to stop her from doing something worse next time?”
