Sophia wouldn’t admit she was picking a fight, and she refused to leave with her mother. She kept glancing at Ethan, worried about him.

“Ethan, let’s just go, okay? I don’t need her to apologize. Let’s get out of here.”

If they had to leave, Sophia wanted Ethan to come too. That way, even if he ended up embarrassed, only she and her mom would see it. He wouldn’t have to face everyone else. Jennifer nodded. “You should go home too, Ethan. Your face is still bruised. Don’t worry about work. Just rest for a few days.”

She turned to Isabella. “Isabella, Sophia was wrong today. I apologize for her. Whatever Sophia spent here, Ethan will pay you ten times as compensation.”
