Isabella showed up not long after.
“Isabella.” Laura spotted her, quickly stepped out from behind the counter, and shot a look over at Sophia. “She’s still sitting there, acting like she owns the place. Keeps saying our coffee is terrible.”
“She’s made us swap her cup for free, over and over. Honestly, she’s just here to stir up trouble.”
“I tried talking to her, but she almost made me lose it.”
Isabella didn’t say a word. She just nodded for Laura to take care of the other customers. She’d handle this herself.
Sophia was here for her, no question.
Isabella had already texted Jennifer and Ethan. Today, Sophia was going to get what was coming to her.
She walked straight over to the table.
Sophia noticed Isabella approaching and suddenly looked a little nervous.
It was her first time trying to spike someone’s drink. She was scared she’d get caught but even more desperate to see what would happen. Natalie had promised her the powder would just embarrass Isabella, nothing life-threatening, nothing serious. That was the only reason Sophia dared to use it.
She decided she’d save the itching powder for another day. For now, just making Isabella look bad in public would do.
Isabella marched right up, pulled out a chair, and dropped her car keys on the table with a loud clatter.
Sophia looked up, annoyed. “Isabella, what’s your problem? You scared me. If you shock me into a panic attack, that’s on you!”
