After I Stopped Loving Him novel Chapter 582

A few minutes later, Ethan came downstairs, suitcase in tow.

Susan heard the noise and stepped out. When she saw him with his luggage, her eyes filled with worry. “Ethan, are you heading out on a business trip?”

He shook his head, his voice low and rough. “I’m moving out. The villa is Isabella’s now. From today on, this place belongs to her.”

Susan looked stunned. “Ethan, even if you want to give her the house, you don’t have to leave right away. You two aren’t even officially divorced yet. It’s pouring outside. Did Isabella really throw you out like this?”

“She didn’t kick me out. She was the one planning to move, but I wouldn’t let her. Since I’m giving her the house, it only makes sense for me to go.”

He turned to her, softer now. “Susan, I told Isabella you all could move in a few days. Once Edward’s gone, you can take the house next door. Help me clear out my room too, I want to redo everything.”

“And while I’m gone… please look after Isabella for me. Make sure she eats properly. Remind her not to skip meals.”

“If she starts staying up late again, try to talk her out of it. She can’t keep burning the candle at both ends.”

“I wanted to leave everyone here for her, but she wouldn’t have it. At least I bought Edward’s house next door. We’ll be neighbors. That way, I can still look out for her.”

When he finished, Ethan let out a deep sigh. He glanced up at the second floor for a long moment, then finally grabbed his suitcase and headed for the front door.

Susan hurried after him, grabbing a big umbrella and calling Ethan’s driver to bring the car around right away.

She knew there was no point arguing anymore. Isabella had made up her mind, and nothing Susan said would change it.

“Ethan, where will you stay now?” she asked as they waited by the door.

“I’ll be at the hilltop villa for a while. When the house next door is ready, I’ll move in there.”
